Evander's POV
I slammed the file on the table, my frustration boiling over. "What's wrong with them?" I snapped. For months, every project I pitched to the government had been rejected. To make matters worse, some of my investors were pulling their funds out of the company. And now, I just discovered that a few shareholders were planning to sell their shares at low prices.
What the hell do they want from me?
Zaniel stood across from me as tension was evident on his face. "Boss, what are you planning to do?" he asked cautiously. "We are in the middle of a brewing storm here."
"I know that!" I shot back, pinching the bridge of my nose to ease the brewing headache. "Tell me something I don't know, Zaniel."
He hesitated, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. "Boss, there is something I have been meaning to tell you, but… I wasn't sure if I should bring it up." His voice trailed off, and he avoided my gaze.
