The dinner with Amelia's family didn't end until almost 3 a.m., and it took another 30 minutes to get to Seraphina's house. The exhaustion was starting to get to me, but I decided I wouldn't give in easily.
"You were supposed to get home before me, not after," I heard a voice coming from the kitchen.
I closed the door and walked over to her. Seraphina was sitting at the counter, holding a cup of hot tea in her hands, her hair thrown together in a messy bun, but of course, still looking beautiful as if she had stepped out of a Renaissance painting.
"You know what time it is, right?" She complained once again, but as soon as I approached, she stood up and kindly helped me take off my jacket.
Since I worked with formal clothing and didn't have much time during the day, I ended up wearing that damn suit all day, even when it was hot outside.
"Did something happen?" She asked with slight concern.
