Liam advanced, trying to attack the woman in front of him, but she easily dodged his first strike. Moving surprisingly fast, Zoe countered with a kick, forcing him to step back.
It was clear from the boy's face that he was already completely exhausted. His breathing was heavy, and his movements had slowed due to the pain. That said, his expression wasn't one of someone ready to give up. He still had plenty of energy to burn, and his soul was burning with the desire to overcome this challenge.
But this wouldn't be the time for his victory, because Zoe, relentless as ever, took advantage of the opening Liam left. With a fluid motion, she pivoted on her axis and delivered a precise strike to the boy's stomach, forcing him to stagger back.
