Marcus was someone whom Olivia met when she ran away from home for the first time.
He just joined the wrong crowd at the time they met and actually helped her when she was being assaulted.
For a few weeks Olivia stayed with him and his sister until her father found her and dragged her back home without giving her a chance to say goodbye to them.
