Chapter 258: Send It to Her
Several types of arrowheads, each with different effects.
Poison is easy to understand.
Just coat the arrowhead with some toxin.
But those explosive or static cloud arrowheads were really something special.
"These magic arrowheads are meticulously crafted by our master craftsmen, each guaranteed to perform its function," a human man said, stepping out of the shop.
He stroked his mustache and spoke softly.
Wu Heng glanced at him and then back at the arrowheads. "Are these considered magic items?"
"They do have runes etched on them, but they're disposable and don't fall under the category of magic items," the man explained and then asked, "Would you like to buy some to try out? They work great against tough enemies."
"I'll look around and come back when I need them," Wu Heng said.
The man smiled, "Take your time, sir."
He then turned to greet other customers, explaining the effects of each arrowhead.
...…
As Wu Heng walked past the shop, he kept thinking about the various special arrowheads.
He had thought about this before.
Long-range damage was so lacking; why hadn't anyone developed firearms?
After all, they had smoke bombs, lightning, wind, and fire.
It seemed that development here had taken a different path compared to Earth.
Humans had created grenades, armor-piercing rounds, and tracer rounds, while here, they had explosive arrows and static cloud arrows.
Due to the influence of professionals.
Bows could shoot farther and more accurately, and their effects weren't necessarily inferior to bullets.
Etched equipment was truly a promising direction.
...…
Wu Heng continued walking forward.
He found his target.
An Elven shop.
Through the open doors, he saw a woman in a green dress with an elegant appearance standing behind the counter.
Wu Heng, accompanied by his skeleton servant, walked straight into the shop.
As soon as he stepped inside, he paused.
Another person was inside, a blonde with pointed ears—Deputy Steward Sheila Gray.
She looked surprised to see Wu Heng enter.
"Something you need?" Sheila Gray asked first.
"Nothing much, just came to see what's for sale. Are you shopping too?" Wu Heng asked.
Sheila Gray glanced at the woman behind the counter and nodded, "Yes, just looking around."
The middle-aged woman behind the counter smiled and came out.
She asked, "Who is this guest?"
Sheila Gray introduced, "Deputy Steward of the Guild, Wu Heng."
The woman seemed surprised, amazed that such a young human could hold this position.
She bowed slightly, "Good afternoon, Deputy Steward Wu Heng."
"Good afternoon."
"Deputy Steward, is there anything specific you'd like to see?" the woman asked, following him closely.
Wu Heng didn't pay further attention to Sheila Gray and took a look around the shop.
His eyes landed on some wooden bows on the shelf.
"How much are these longbows?"
"Twenty-five silver coins each, minimum order of two hundred," the woman replied.
The price wasn't too high.
Wu Heng continued, "If I place an order, how soon can it be delivered?"
"Within twelve days; they should arrive around the tenth day."
"Can it be any cheaper?"
"Our prices are set based on distance and aren't negotiable," the woman explained.
That's fine—saves the hassle of haggling.
He said directly, "I'll order two thousand. If the quality and delivery speed satisfy me, I'll continue to purchase more."
The middle-aged woman was slightly surprised.
Gold-Silver Island was just a small place, and business wasn't particularly brisk.
Most of the goods were transferred to other mainland powers for sale.
But it seemed she had encountered a big customer today.
He decided on two thousand bows without hesitation.
And there might be more orders to follow.
Sheila Gray, standing not far away, looked surprised and a bit skeptical.
She clearly didn't expect such a large order.
"I'll prepare the order form now," the woman said, heading to the counter to fill it out.
She added, "Deputy Steward, with the Guild's guarantee, you only need to pay a 30% deposit, and it will be deducted from the final payment upon delivery."
"Alright." Wu Heng took out several bags of silver coins and placed them on the counter.
Both women were surprised at the sight.
Carrying so much money around.
After verifying the payment, the woman smiled, "When the goods arrive, I'll have someone notify you at the Guild."
"That's fine."
Taking the receipt, Wu Heng turned to leave.
...…
At the door.
The elf Sheila Gray followed him out, "Where are you going?"
"Back to the Guild."
"Perfect, I'm heading back too; let's walk together," Sheila Gray said, leading the way.
Wu Heng glanced at her figure and walked alongside her.
"Why are you buying so many bows?" Sheila Gray asked.
"I heard the elves make excellent bows. I plan to take them back home," Wu Heng said.
Not exactly a lie, just a bit vague.
"And you came personally? No elven shops over there?"
"It's quite remote. This is my first time seeing elves," Wu Heng glanced at the elegant elf.
She seemed to notice Wu Heng's gaze.
The elf turned her head and continued, "If you were to describe us, how would you?"
"Hmm…" Wu Heng thought for a moment and said, "Elegant and refined."
Sheila Gray smiled, "Thank you."
She continued, "By the way, I'm a Magic Swordsman. What's your class? It'd be good to know, especially for future battles."
A Magic Swordsman?
Another unique class.
Seeing her big eyes staring expectantly, Wu Heng said, "My class is a bit special and often misunderstood."
"It's just a class; with your rank at your age, few would care about opinions," Sheila Gray smiled, trying to reassure him.
Wu Heng looked at her and said, "Are you sure you want to know?"
"Is it that special?"
"Quite special."
"More special than a Magic Swordsman?"
A Necromancer's reputation seemed broader than that of a Magic Swordsman.
At least in Blackstone Town and Rentam City, no one had heard of Magic Swordsmen.
"Maybe not as special as yours," Wu Heng said.
Sheila Gray insisted, "You'll have to tell me eventually; just say it."
"Necromancer."
Sheila Gray suddenly stopped and turned back, her hand instinctively reaching for her sword.
Wu Heng narrowed his eyes slightly, calmly saying, "With Deputy Steward Sheila Gray's experience, I doubt you'd have a bias against classes."
Sheila Gray noticed her actions and quickly withdrew her hand, saying, "Sorry, I didn't react for a moment."
"No problem, I'm used to it."
The two continued chatting as they walked.
They returned to the Guild together and then went their separate ways to their offices.
...…
In the office.
Wu Heng had just returned and was about to call Andviel to go home.
When she said, "Master, a squad has submitted a request."
"Hmm? What kind of request?"
"Squad 3 spotted a Level 13 wanted criminal and requested the Deputy Steward to lead the capture."
"Send it to Sheila Gray; she just got back."
