Nora's eyes widened in disbelief. "What?" she gasped, barely able to process the news. "Th-Thank you so much." Her voice trembled, but it was her eyes that carried the depth of her gratitude, the words failing to fully convey what she felt.
Demitri crossed his arms. "I told you Lucius would handle it," he reminded her. "Now you can finally breathe easy. They won't bother you again."
Nora nodded, her vision blurring with unshed tears. "I... I don't know how to thank you. No one has ever helped me like this before."
Demitri's gaze softened. "Then you've been surrounded by the wrong people."
