"Kirito, do you have something to explain?" Kurenai Yuhi appeared behind Kirito like a ghost, her hand resting firmly on his shoulder. Jealousy practically radiated from her expression.
Kirito gently pulled Kurenai to sit on the nearby bed. "It's nothing, really," he said with a sly smile.
He recounted his past encounters with Hinata, taking care to emphasize their innocent nature.
"Is that really all there is to it?" Suspicion flashed across Kurenai's eyes. She knew Kirito's personality well.
He was the type of person who, at the age of eleven, had the audacity to flirt with her former teacher, a woman ten years his senior—and he had succeeded.
"Of course," Kirito replied, his gaze turning mischievous as he looked at her.
"Don't you dare," Kurenai warned, startled by his expression. Panic flickered in her eyes. "This is a hospital."
Kirito chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm not that hungry. I came here tonight only to heal Hinata. I wouldn't do anything else."
"Her injuries… are healed?" Kurenai's voice was filled with disbelief.
Kirito nodded confidently. "You can see for yourself."
Hurrying to Hinata's bedside, Kurenai examined her thoroughly. To her astonishment, she found Hinata's injuries completely healed. The results defied logic.
"How is this possible?" Kurenai turned back to Kirito, her face a mixture of shock and curiosity.
As a former medical ninja, she understood the severity of Hinata's injuries. In her professional opinion, it would have taken at least a month for Hinata to recover fully. Yet, in less than half an hour, Kirito had somehow performed a miracle.
"Let's just call it a little secret," Kirito replied cryptically, refusing to elaborate.
"I don't even want to guess what kind of things you've picked up out there over the years," Kurenai said with exasperation. Then, as if struck by a thought, she turned to glance in the direction of Rock Lee's ward. "Kirito, can I ask you for a favor?"
"You want me to take a look at Rock Lee's injuries, don't you?" Kirito smiled knowingly. "If it's him, there's no need. Someone far more suited for the job will take care of him soon—Tsunade, the Slug Princess, one of the Sannin."
Though Kirito could easily heal Lee's injuries with a Senzu Bean, he decided against it. Tsunade needed to make her mark as Hokage, and healing Lee would serve as the perfect opportunity. It was a chance for her to earn Konoha's trust and solidify her position.
Even if Kirito offered a Senzu Bean later, he'd ensure Tsunade maximized its benefit.
"Tsunade?" Kurenai's surprise was evident. "But didn't she leave Konoha years ago?"
"That was then," Kirito said. "Very soon, Tsunade will return to Konoha to take on the role of the Fifth Hokage."
"The Fifth Hokage?" Kurenai's confusion deepened. "What's going on?"
Kirito waved her closer and leaned in, whispering the details of the night's events. As he spoke, Kurenai's expression shifted from shock to disbelief to blushing outrage.
"You're unbelievable!" Kurenai exclaimed, glaring at him with an embarrassed and scolding tone. "How could you pull off something so outrageous?"
"Outrageous?" Kirito grinned slyly. "What's more outrageous—my actions or the things those old men have done?"
"They're all terrible people," Kurenai replied, pushing Kirito's hand away as he tried to touch her.
At that moment, a soft voice broke the tension. "Kurenai-sensei?"
"Hinata, you're awake!" Kurenai quickly turned to her student, relieved to have a distraction. She walked over and helped Hinata sit up on the bed.
"Yes." Hinata nodded. Her gaze shifted to Kirito, sitting casually on the other bed, before glancing shyly back at Kurenai. Mustering her courage, she bowed deeply toward Kurenai. "Kurenai-sensei, please… please don't report Big Brother's presence to the Hokage."
Kurenai, as an experienced ninja, immediately understood Hinata's feelings. She couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and exasperation.
"Don't worry. I know what kind of person Kirito is," Kurenai reassured her. "However, Hinata, you're also aware of Kirito's current status. Let's pretend none of this happened tonight, okay?"
Hinata nodded fervently. Relief flooded her face as she turned to Kirito and whispered, "Thank you, Big Brother."
Kirito smiled warmly. "It's all thanks to you, Hinata. Otherwise, your teacher might not have let me off so easily."
He reached out to pat Hinata's head, but Kurenai's sharp glare stopped him in his tracks. She was clearly worried he might cross the line, so she quickly interjected, "Kirito, you've done enough. Hinata's healed now, so it's time for you to leave. The hospital staff and ANBU conduct regular rounds—you don't want to get caught."
Kirito smirked. "Hinata, I'll come to see you again soon. And, Kurenai-sensei," he added with a mischievous grin, "I'll see you again... 'in the future.'"
The deliberate emphasis on the last words made Kurenai flush with embarrassment and irritation. Hinata, on the other hand, looked wistful as Kirito vanished from the hospital.
As the first rays of sunlight broke over Konoha, Kirito and Pakura began their morning training routine in the serene courtyard of their temporary residence.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya sought out Naruto, convincing him with smooth words to leave the village for training. With Naruto in tow, the two set off on a journey to find Tsunade.
Three days later, deep within a hidden base on Konoha's outskirts, Kabuto approached Orochimaru with a sly grin.
"Lord Orochimaru, I've come across some rather intriguing news," Kabuto said, adjusting his glasses.
Orochimaru raised an eyebrow, his serpentine eyes gleaming with interest. "What is it, Kabuto? Has Sasuke done something unexpected again?"
Kabuto shook his head. "No, it's not Uchiha Sasuke. He's only just been discharged from the hospital this morning. He's currently training under Kakashi outside the village. What I've learned concerns something—or rather, someone—else entirely."
"Oh?" Orochimaru leaned forward slightly. "Do tell."
Kabuto's grin widened. "Three days ago, Jiraiya left Konoha with Uzumaki Naruto. They're now scouring the lands in search of Tsunade, the last of the Sannin."
