Utane Koharu and Mitokado Homura left.
They ultimately failed to stop Tsunade's decision to punish Danzo.
Due to the public revelation of the Konoha F4's revelry, the status of the Hokage's senior advisors had plummeted, leaving them powerless to prevent Tsunade's order.
In the end, they left, filled with a sense of loss and confusion.
"You're really reckless," Jiraiya said, sighing helplessly at Tsunade's uncompromising demeanor.
Tsunade replied firmly, "New Konoha, new Hokage, new atmosphere. If we continue to act cautiously like the old man did, always worried about what Danzo might do or placing blame to cover ourselves, we'll achieve nothing. If we indulge endlessly in fear of immediate consequences, how is this Konoha any different from before?"
Jiraiya stood up, rubbing his forehead in frustration. His expression turned serious as he looked at Tsunade and said, "Tsunade, I need to ask you something."
Tsunade was taken aback. "What is it?"
"In the past, the old man entrusted Kakashi to watch over Naruto. That was undoubtedly the right decision, but things have escalated to the point where even Kakashi cannot handle it alone. After the Third Hokage's funeral, I want Naruto to be placed under my guidance," Jiraiya explained solemnly.
"Is this because of Akatsuki?" Tsunade's face grew serious. Even Fujiwara Kirito was reluctant to reveal much about that organization, which spoke volumes about its danger.
"Yes," Jiraiya nodded. "From your earlier conversation with the two advisors, I can tell you're aware of Akatsuki to some extent."
"I've been keeping tabs on Orochimaru ever since he fled the village. I knew he'd resurface sooner or later. Initially, my focus was only on him, but later, he joined a group called Akatsuki."
"Do you have information about this organization?" Tsunade asked, frowning.
Jiraiya shook his head. "I don't have many details. All I know is that it's a small group of eleven ninjas. For years, they've stayed under the radar, accepting commissions and conducting espionage activities."
"But here's the issue—nearly all of their members are S-rank criminals wanted by various nations. Each one has committed heinous crimes and has unique, dangerous abilities."
"Kirito, the one who turned Konoha upside down during the Chunin Exams, and Itachi, who annihilated the Uchiha clan, are both part of this group. Orochimaru was also a member at one point, but he left for reasons unknown. He was hunted down by several Akatsuki members, including Kirito, and barely escaped with his life."
"Since then, Akatsuki has been traveling in pairs, collecting ninjutsu and other items of interest. It's clear they're not doing this out of goodwill. They're after something."
"Is it the tailed beasts, specifically the Nine-Tails in Naruto's body?" Tsunade asked, her expression darkening.
"It's a possibility we can't ignore," Jiraiya admitted. "The Nine-Tails has the strongest chakra. Akatsuki's collected intelligence might include the tailed beasts. If that's true, Naruto's life will always be in danger. That's the price of being a Jinchuriki."
Jiraiya turned to leave, pausing at the door to add, "I'll talk to Kakashi about this later. Sasuke, too, will need his guidance to master the Sharingan since Itachi is also part of Akatsuki."
With that, Jiraiya walked out of the Hokage's office.
"It's really troublesome," Tsunade muttered as soon as he left. Slumping into her chair, she picked up Chinatsu and placed her on the desk, letting out a long sigh. Stretching, her graceful figure was accentuated, unknowingly making her even more alluring.
From the shadows, Fujiwara Kirito couldn't help but feel his heart race. He swallowed hard, suppressing his thoughts.
After a moment, Tsunade suddenly said, "Come out."
"How did you know I was here?" Kirito's voice echoed in the office, startling Shizune, who blinked in confusion. Before she could process it, Kirito appeared beside Tsunade, as if he'd been there all along.
"Kirito!" Chinatsu's eyes lit up as she jumped off the desk and into his arms.
"I've told you to call me Dad," Kirito sighed helplessly. Despite his words, he caught his daughter and gently stroked her hair.
Tsunade smirked, a confident glint in her eyes. "Intuition."
"Intuition?" Kirito asked, intrigued.
"It's a woman's sixth sense. Whenever you're thinking something inappropriate about me, I can sense it," Tsunade said with mock seriousness, though she was bluffing.
Kirito chuckled, clearly not convinced. Holding Chinatsu close, he sat on the desk and let her cuddle against him.
"So, how do you plan to deal with Danzo? That old man won't accept punishment quietly," Kirito asked.
"Aren't you here?" Tsunade leaned against him, mimicking Chinatsu's actions.
"You really know how to delegate," Kirito teased, pinching her cheek. "I came by to say hello, but since you brought it up, I do plan to deal with Danzo. Leaving him in Konoha is like keeping a ticking time bomb."
"Are you planning to kill him?" Tsunade asked, surprised.
"No, it's not the right time," Kirito replied. His plan was to capture Danzo, seal him away, and use him as training dog to develop his pupil techniques.
"So, what's the plan?" Tsunade pressed, her curiosity evident.
"I'll capture him and seal him. Then, you can announce that Danzo has defected," Kirito explained with a sly grin.
Tsunade hesitated for a moment before asking softly, "Will you come back after you leave this time?"
Hearing this, Chinatsu's mood shifted. Clinging tightly to Kirito's neck, she cried out, "Kirito, don't leave!"
