Cough.
Before Fujiwara Kirito could answer, Konan coughed lightly, her face slightly flushed. She raised her eyes, signaling Kirito not to continue.
"You're still young. I'll tell you when you grow up," Kirito said with a smile. He left these parting words before deactivating the projection and disappearing into the dark space.
As soon as Kirito left, Pakura followed.
Shortly after, Kakuzu, Hidan, Zetsu, Konan, Itachi, Kisame, and others departed one after another.
Finally, in the dim cave, only Deidara, brimming with curiosity, and Sasori, intrigued by the topic of medicine, remained.
"This isn't fair! Brother Kirito is leaving us hanging, hm!" Deidara exclaimed, tilting his head toward Pain. "Leader, what kind of medicine did Brother Kirito give those old Konoha geezers?"
Pain's mouth twitched involuntarily.
What kind of medicine?
A concoction that could make men in their seventies live life to the fullest. What else could it be?
"…Aphrodisiac," Pain said flatly before deactivating his projection.
Deidara froze, petrified, while Sasori gave him a look that clearly said, idiot.
After Fujiwara Kirito and Pakura opened their eyes in the real world, they exchanged glances. Pakura nestled in Kirito's arms and said with a playful pout, "Master Kirito , you're really wicked."
"Do you like it, though?" Kirito teased, pinching her nose gently.
Blushing, Pakura closed her eyes, resigned. "Do as you please."
But Kirito only chuckled, scratched her nose, and said, "Alright, rest well tonight. We're leaving Konoha tomorrow. There will be plenty of time later."
"Leaving? Is something wrong?" Pakura asked, startled.
"There's someone I need to meet before we go," Kirito replied, disappearing from the room.
Meanwhile, in a secluded forest lit by a campfire, Kisame and Itachi sat cross-legged on stone blocks, both focused on hand seals.
"It seems Konoha's higher-ups are in for it after meeting Mr. Kirito ," Kisame said with a smirk, opening his eyes.
Itachi remained silent for a moment before rising from the stone block and walking toward Konoha.
"Let's go, Kisame."
Now that the Third Hokage was dead, the agreement between him and Hiruzen to protect Sasuke no longer held. He needed to ensure Sasuke's safety and warn Danzo to keep his hands off his younger brother.
"Where are you going?" Kisame asked, puzzled.
"To Konoha," Itachi replied, his tone resolute.
"That's unusual for you. Feeling nostalgic?" Kisame teased.
"Not at all," Itachi said, glancing sideways at his partner.
"But the leader said to keep a low profile for the next three years," Kisame added hesitantly.
"Don't worry. I just need to confirm something. I won't stir up any trouble." Without waiting for a response, Itachi vanished into the trees using Body Flicker.
"Nothing I can do about him," Kisame muttered, sighing as he followed.
In Konoha Village, at the former Uchiha compound, the once-vibrant streets were silent and desolate. Leaves scattered across the empty roads.
Sasuke walked slowly, his hands in his pockets, his head bowed, shadows obscuring his face. The setting sun stretched his lone figure into a long shadow, amplifying his solitude.
Confusion clouded Sasuke's mind. Naruto's battle with Gaara earlier had shaken him deeply. The sheer power Naruto displayed—summoning countless shadow clones, wielding the Rasengan, and even summoning Gamabunta—left Sasuke feeling insignificant.
He clenched his fists. Naruto... the dead last… has surpassed me?
Frustrated, he punched a nearby post, his knuckles bleeding from the repeated blows.
"You look pathetic, Sasuke," a calm voice interrupted from above.
Sasuke's Sharingan activated instinctively as he leaped back, eyes scanning for the source. Standing atop the post was Fujiwara Kirito .
"You…" Sasuke's pupils dilated. "Fujiwara Kirito !"
Kirito smiled. "Nice to see you remember me. But you should watch your temper." Before Sasuke could respond, Kirito vanished without a trace.
Panicked, Sasuke spun around, his Sharingan darting for any sign of Kirito . A cold sweat broke out as fear gripped him.
"Come out!" Sasuke shouted, his voice echoing in the empty compound. "Fujiwara Kirito , you bastard!"
Silence.
Dejected and wary, Sasuke returned home, his steps heavy with exhaustion. As he entered, the aroma of food greeted him.
"Oh, you're back," Kirito said casually, standing in the kitchen wearing an apron. "Wash your hands. Dinner's almost ready."
"Why?" Sasuke's voice trembled, his fists clenched tightly.
"Why what?" Kirito asked knowingly, his tone light. "I half-expected you to greet me with Chidori."
