Chapter 3 - Ravan and His Severed Head Pt.2

At the war ground, the divine sword reached closer to Shri Ram but before it could touch Shri Ram a very bright golden light tearing the cloudy sky fall on the sword and in that instant the sword went back to God Shiv.

In a moment of sheer heartbreak and feeling of being betrayed Ravan watched his weapon going away from him.

And once the weapon disappeared the voice of God Shiv started to resound in the entire war ground in which he stated, "Ravan this war is between Dharma and Adhrama. And Chandrahaas can't be used in a against Shri Ram who stands with Dharma. Hence I am taking Chandrahaas back from you."

More than the betrayal of Vibhisan, this made Ravan to feel the real taste of being betrayed. Ravan felt the sheer betrayal from the only God whom he has worshipped in his entire life.

But even in that moment he gathered up his courage and arrogance that came from his own strength which has crowned him as the most feared King even by the demi gods.

Once again summoning his bow Ravan roared valiantly in the war ground as he made his intention clear to kill Shri Ram.

For the next rounds of arrows clashing Shri Ram gained the upper hand which made Ravan to utilize the Mayayudh.

Mayayudh a secret type of warfare technique which was used by the asurs and rakshashs in which they use Maya(Illusion, invisibility, etc) against their enemies.

And now Ravan began to apply the same Mayayudh in his war against Shri Ram. He just held his bow while Shri Ram launched an arrow towards Ravan.

But before the arrow could have hit him, Ravan along with his flying chariot vanished in this air which bewildered the army of Shri Ram.

Shri Ram looked everywhere in the sky for Ravan but he couldn't found him and while he was looking Ravan, an arrow came towards him at an incredible speed.

Hanuman saw the arrow coming and he immediately jumped between the arrow and His God Shri Ram and effortlessly intercepted the arrow in the mid air.

All of the generals of Shri Ram's army saw this and soon arrows started to rain down on Shri Ram from all of the directions.

All of the generals of Shri Ram's army including Laxman gathered around Shri Ram as they all formed a shield around him and started to intercept all of those arrows from reaching close to Shri Ram.

Indra and his ministers who are all demi gods saw this happening from the sky and discussed among themselves to help Shri Ram in giving him the same height as Ravan.

So Indra immediately summoned his own magical divine chariot and sent it to aid Shri Ram in his purpose of slaying Ravan.

Meanwhile Shri Ram decided to destroy this deceptive tactic of Ravan. So he immediately mounted an arrow on his bow and began to invoke a divine weapon in that arrow using a special mantra.

Soon the tip of the arrowhead began to glow in a bright golden light and after this Shri Ram shoot this arrow into the sky and after this arrow hit the sky it exploded and covered the entire war ground in a very brilliant and bright golden light.

This golden light canceled the invisibility of Ravan and stopped him from using it any further.

Once Ravan became visible, all of the generals dispersed from around Shri Ram creating the opening for their war.

Although Ravan was no longer able to use his invisibility skill but he still had his magical chariot using which he began to move in sky while also creating a great distance between them.

In this way Ravan started to change his location whenever an arrow came towards him while he shoot arrows straight towards Shri Ram.

At one point Shri Ram even dodged some of the arrows of Ravan that came from different directions towards him.

The growing anxiety and looking for a solution made the vanars very anxious but at that time the divine chariot of Indra appeared before Shri Ram and the sarathi who was piloting the chariot gave the message of Indra to Shri Ram to use this chariot in his war to come in the same height as Ravan.

Shri Ram accepted this offer of Indra and boarded the chariot and soon the sarathi took the chariot into the sky matching the same height as that of Ravan from the ground.

This help of Indra infuriated Ravan very much who in his anger declared that after slaying Ram, he will make Indra live in hell.

After his declaration, Ravan went full power against Shri Ram as he brought his ten heads before Shri Ram which are perfectly aligned and on his body.

Confident and calm Shri Ram mounted arrow on his bow and shoot it towards one of the heads Ravan who at that point was laughing very arrogantly.

Soon the arrow cut down one of the heads of Ravan leaving him with only nine heads now. But soon one after another eight heads of Ravan got cut down from his body leaving his one last head on his body.

Those nine heads that got cut down from his body fueled his anger and rage to the maximum under the influence of which Ravan began to invoke the divine weapons he had against Shri Ram.

To counter the divine weapons of Ravan, Shri Ram also invoked his divine weapons as well which are the exact counter of Ravan's divine weapons.

The divine weapons clashed against each other leaving Shri Ram the victorious which infuriated Ravan the most.

Vibhishana the younger brother of Ravan knew the secret by which Ravan can be killed so he moved closer to Shri Ram in the sky and disclosed this secret to him.

This final betrayal from Vibhishana infuriated Ravan who in his anger scolded his younger brother but on other hand Shri Ram invoked another divine weapon of his in one of his arrows and shoot it towards the bellybutton of Ravan where he had hidden the nectar.

The arrow hit the nectar and destroyed it which then ultimately resulted in the death of Ravan and after being hit Ravan gave out a loud shout and fall from his chariot from the sky onto the ground.
