Lisa led me around the town, she gave me a full tour, it took us about twenty minutes but we eventually coverd everything the town had to offer.
"So… what do you think about this place?" Lisa asked as I walked beside her.
"It's like I've been sucked into a fantasy movie, like the lord of the rings or something."
"I know right? I thought the same thing the first time i came here with my father."
"I see.."
Lisa stoped in front of a shop, the writting on the sign looked like a strange mix of scribble's and English letters, obviously it was some kind of language the people of hollow earth spoke often.
"Come on, every hunter there first time coming to an H.Q has to get some kind of weapon, both on the surface or hollow earth-"
She walked in the store and I followed.
"Ok. But how much does a weapon cost?"
"Darling, there's no need to worry about that, I'll be paying for it."
"What? No. I can't let you do that."
"Why? Are we not dating? And am I not your teacher as well?"
"Yeah, but…"
"But what?"
Lisa walked through the store, it was filled with just about any kind of weapon you can think of. She stopped on front of a mirror and turned to me, placing her one hand on her hip. "I just… don't like the idea of you spending money on me."
"Oh?"
"Yeah."
"Why's that?"
"I just… "
Because I didn't deserve it.
"Because I'm the man, your the girl. It should be me spoiling you and not the other way around-"
"… are you sexist?"
"What!? No! I just… im old fashioned ok!"
Lisa looked at me a few seconds then gave me a smirk. "Doesn't matter, I'm still buying you your first weapon, it's tradition, and also If I wanna spoil you, I'm gonna do it. No but's got it?"
I nervously scratched my head.
"Alright… "
"That's a good boy."
"Please stop saying that."
She grinned. "Never."
We walked around and looked at all the different weapons they had. "Soooo, is there anything that catches your eye darling?"
"Hmm… what did you get your first time here?"
She smiled at me as I looked back from the swords mounted on the wall. "My trusty black dagger of course… it's never failed me once."
She took a step closer beside me.
"When looking for a weapon it should be something that is practical, yet Matches your personality… I soppose. Make sure it's sturdy so it doesn't break too. You don't wanna be in the middle of a fight with an orc and it break on you, a blade can mean the difference between life and death."
"Right."
I kept looking, and then I saw a short blade, I grabbed it and gave it a swing. It was pretty light… was that a good thing or a bad thing?
No, I'm pretty sure that if it's light then it will be easy to break. So maybe the more heavy it is the better?
"You like that one?" Lisa asked.
"Nah… "
I put it up and searched for another…
Eventually I found a longsword, it was pretty heavy. But not too heavy… I gave it a swing.
"Yeah… I Like This one."
"Alright, well then let's go ahead and buy it. You have good taste too, I love the design on the hilt." Lisa gave me a thumbs up.
I smiled back at her.
Suddenly the shop owner called out. "Oi! If it isn't the worlds strongest hunter!"
The voice of a young man called back with a Japanese accident. "Nelson. It's nice to see you too!"
Lisa looked and called out to him once she recognized him. "Hello there ryuji."
I looked and saw him approach us, he was a tall young man with sharp features, he was like one of those pretty boy k-pop singer's.
But he was built like a professional boxer, he wore a black jacket, a black shirt and black pants. His hair was wavy and his bangs was long enough to reach past his eyebrows.
"Lisa, how are you?… who's this?"
He came to a stop on front of us, giving us a wide grin. "This is Jack Turner, he's a novice, my mentor and I are training him…. That and also he's my boyfriend. Isn't that right darling?"
I felt a bit embarrassed when she introduced me as her boyfriend. "Y-yeah… it's nice to meet you." He shook my hand.
Damn his grip was firm, I was pretty intimidated by him. And also I couldn't help but think about what the shop owner called him. "It's nice to meet you too jack… wait-"
He turned to Lisa a grinned. "Is he the same boy you've been crushing on for years? You finally asked him out?"
Me and her both flushed as he continued.
"Yoko told me you've liked him sense you were kids, good to see you finally got up the courage."
"Ryuji! You jerk! Your embarrassing me in front of jack!" She pouted.
"Hehe. Sorry."
Wait, she's liked me sense we were kids?!
How?! Why?!
I didn't really say anything.
I tryed to change the subject, I remembered what the shop owner said so…
"Hey. what did the shop owner mean when he called you the strongest hunter in the world?"
He scratched the back of his head and grinned. "Well I don't like bragging but-"
Lisa broke the silence. "It's exactly what it sounds like, he's the strongest hunter in the world. He's taken down monsters like in a Godzilla flick before they've reached the surface, taken down lovecraftian entity's, and even clashed blades with high level demons… he could be a knight if he wanted too. But for some reason he's decided to stay a hunter, why is that exactly?"
He just shook his head. "One word, freedom. If I were to become a knight then I'd have to play by the councils direct orders, and I don't want that. Being a hunter means I have the freedom to go wherever I want, when I want, whenever I want to do it."
"Wait, so you've actually fought a demon? And by lovecraftian entity's you mean-"
"Pagan gods yeah."
"Wha-!?" My mouth flung open.
"B-but… "
"Well there isn't much difference between pagan Gods and demons aren't there?"
"I don't think so, no." Lisa nodded in agreement. "How are you so nonchalant about this?!" I turned to Lisa.
"Jack, we're hunter's. We deal with this sort of thing all the time, Of course I haven't battled Zeus or Apollo like ryuji here, but I've faced threats that can literally destroy city's."
And at that I was frozen in shock.
"Hehe… I think we might have blown his mind."
"Yep."
"I'm dating a superhero."
Lisa blushes a little bit more when I sed that.
"I wouldn't call myself that. But um… thank you, but you do know by what you just sed technically your a superhero too, well one in training but still…"
I just looked at her. "You Really Are Amazing Lisa."
She just stared at me.
"Hehe…" ryuji let out a nervous laugh.
"I should go. Probably… I'll see you later Lisa. And once again it was nice meeting you jack."
And with that he walked away, heading to the other side of the store. "So… um-"
I smiled. "You had a crush on me sense we were kids?"
"I… um… " she looked at me a bit shyly.
"Maybe, so what? Your mine now right?… what are you making fun of me?"
My heart pounded in my chest."I'm not makling fun of you, and… I've always been your's."
A little smile stretched acrossed her face and she let out a little giggle. "Does that mean… you've always liked me too?"
I gave a nod. "How could I not?"
"Your a jerk for making me wait this long for you."
"Sorry."
"It's ok. Now, let's buy this…"
"Yeah. And by the way, how do you know ryuji anyway? And who's Yoko?"
"Yoko Is kinda like a big sister to me, literally, she can't stop referring to her self as my big sister. She was being trained by bill when I was taken on by him, she introduced me to ryuji, her and him are both from Japan but came to the u.s when they were thirteen, they went to the seminary about two years ago… "
"I see… so there friends?"
"Well, no, but yes… There both hopelessly in love with each other but ryuji is too shy to ask her out, like a certain somebody I know, plus he's surrounded by a harem of girls who won't leave him alone almost constantly."
"Is the dude like an overpowered harem m.c in real life?"
" basically… by the way if a bunch of girls start hanging around you and flirting there butts off with you, you better tell them your taken alright?"
"Alright."
"Good… after we're done, I wanna get some ice cream."
"Didn't you already have cake?"
"Don't judge me, todays my cheat day."

Several miles away from the town, deep within the great forest, hundred's of figure's led by one massive figure was making there way to the village.
They reached the edge, And there the leader raised his weapon into the air and let out a war cry. "Croooooooaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!"
"Eeeeaaahhh!!!!!!"
All of his soldiers screamed In unison.
They charged foreword towards the unsuspecting town.
