In this current state, every passing moment placed a tremendous strain on his eyes.
With multiple forces acting on him simultaneously, Shisui had almost reached the final stage of his Susanoo. But the pressure and burden of this final stage were now weighing heavily on him.
According to its classification, this form could only be maintained by the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, which possesses infinite visual power.
However, Shisui, relying on the power of the Hōgyoku, forcibly induced a similar form, bearing an even greater burden in the process.
Although Shisui's Susano'o still appeared to be slightly shorter than the massive Buddha statue, it now seemed to barely qualify as an evenly matched opponent.
Yasaka Magatama!
Shisui swung his arm, and three massive magatama-shaped projectiles, resembling Sharingan in design and glowing emerald green, formed a circle in the air.
Rotating rapidly, they sliced through the air before crashing into the enormous Buddha statue, colliding with its countless swinging arms.
Boom!
A massive shockwave rippled outward in a circular wave, spreading to the surroundings.
The magatama smashed through hundreds of colossal wooden arms along their path, finally exploding magnificently in front of the giant Buddha statue.
Countless fragments and severed arms rained down from the sky, accompanied by the howling wind. They crashed into the ground with a thunderous noise, shaking the earth as if an earthquake had occurred.
The enormous vibrations spread through the ground, traveling far into the distance.
The towering Buddha statue discarded Nagato, who was like a mere insect in its grasp, and turned its attention to the emerald-green giant charging toward it.
Severed limbs began regenerating rapidly, making the Buddha statue resemble a monstrous creature that healed as quickly as it was injured.
It collided with the giant like two titanic forces clashing against one another.
The emerald-green spiral sword swung with precision, and with the flapping of its wings, the giant moved with remarkable speed and ferocity.
Each strike of the sword cleaved through dozens of the Buddha statue's wooden arms, leaving deep wounds on its massive form.
The battle between these two colossal entities completely reshaped the surrounding landscape.
Nagato and Yahiko stood watching the confrontation between the two behemoths, their hearts unable to calm from the overwhelming shock.
"Is the Sharingan really this powerful? No wonder it's considered one of the Three Great Dōjutsu alongside the Rinnegan," Nagato murmured.
With each battle Shisui fought, his understanding of the Sharingan was being redefined.
Even now, Nagato couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity toward the Byakugan, which he had never seen before. He wondered if the Byakugan could unleash such devastating power, like an earthquake shattering the land.
Nagato steadied the chakra flowing through his body, preparing to move forward and join Shisui in attacking the White Zetsu. He realized that only by eliminating White Zetsu could they stop the giant Buddha statue.
At the moment, Shisui was holding off the Buddha statue, which gave Nagato the opportunity to deal with the White Zetsu.
"Shisui reminded me not to interfere in his battle. He seems to have a trump card that spares no one, friend or foe," Yahiko said. He did not stop Nagato but followed him as they ran toward the battlefield. At the same time, he didn't forget to warn Nagato.
After all, Yahiko couldn't just stand by while Shisui fought at the front, with them being of no help in the rear. This was especially true because they had accepted the mission from Kagetsu.
Yahiko had never forgotten the debt of saving his life. In his heart, no matter what, Shisui must not be harmed.
Of course, he had already sent back battlefield information using the small snakes Kagetsu had provided them.
Outside the battlefield:
Sensing the two massive auras tens of kilometers away, each no less powerful than a Tailed Beast, Black Zetsu couldn't help but mutter to himself.
"Is that nearly a third-stage Susanoo? That Shisui, his ocular power has already reached this level?"
"An unexpected twist! The plan is completely messed up."
"It doesn't matter. Tobi is special! With the added strength of a Wood-Style user, his combat power far surpasses the Five Kage! Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan, after all, isn't an Eternal Mangekyō. His ocular power isn't limitless.
Even with his extraordinary talent, his previous battle against Hanzo already cost him a significant amount of his ocular power. Now, with his Susanoo pushed to this level, his ocular power will eventually run dry."
"A pair of Mangekyō Sharingan! And it's illusion-based! If we could obtain it, it would greatly aid Lord Madara's plan. Are we really going to let it go blind like this?"
"There's no other way. Once he's exhausted and captured, we'll leave him to Madara to handle."
"What about Orochimaru and Nara Kagetsu? I have a feeling they're trouble."
The words of White Zetsu silenced Black Zetsu.
"Let's observe a little longer, with Madara's will as the priority."
After Black Zetsu spoke, he sensed the fading presence of the giant, believing that the battle was nearing its end. His body slowly sank into the ground, heading toward the battlefield.
...
"That's terrifying! But the outcome is decided!"
The voice of the enormous Buddha statue boomed like thunder, countless arms now grasping the emerald giant's body, devouring its chakra in large amounts.
"Yes, the outcome is decided! Are you satisfied with my power?" Blood streaked from the corners of Shisui's eyes, and as he stood on the giant's forehead, his vision blurred. He forced a grim smile.
"What?" Seeing Shisui's response, Tobi froze for a moment, sensing something was wrong. Then, he watched as Shisui quickly formed seals, and Susanoo followed his hand movements to do the same.
Tobi had no time to stop him. Before he could react, Shisui had completed the hand seals, and with his palm extended forward, Susanoo, now swordless, slammed its hand heavily onto the Buddha statue.
Reverse Summoning Technique!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Two massive plumes of white smoke spread out. Shisui's Susanoo and Tobi's giant Buddha statue both vanished from the spot at the same time. Along with them, Nagato disappeared as well.
The battlefield, now in complete disarray, was left with only Yahiko.
...
"Huh?"
Tobi, traveling along the ground, suddenly emerged halfway from the earth. His eyes looked uncertain as he stared at the direction of the battlefield.
"They've disappeared! The presences of both Tobi and Shisui are gone! What happened over there?"
"Nagato's presence is also gone!"
"The chakra signatures are all messed up! My senses are being affected!"
"Stop complaining! Hurry up and get over there! We at least need to know what happened! Can you contact Tobi?"
"I can't. My connection with him is gone. It's like he's already left this world of ninjas."
"Did they die together? If Nagato also ran into trouble, that would be a big problem. The Rinnegan cannot be allowed to be destroyed!"
"It seems like Uchiha Shisui is hiding something. Tobi's plan failed! It's such a shame, I actually liked Tobi, even though he talked too much."
"Should we go recover the Rinnegan?"
"Wait, there's still one more presence! It's that little guy named Yahiko next to Nagato!"
