"An Nuan." Lin Xiao Feng's father, Lin Xu was surprised when he saw his daughter-in-law walking into the house.
The housekeeper who opened the door nodded at Lin Xu before walking away.
An Nuan watched the housekeeper walk away before turning to Lin Xu again. "Dad." The smile on her face turned awkward. An Nuan still found it awkward to address Lin Xu as 'Dad' when she had called him 'Uncle' for years.
"Hmm…" Lin Xu nodded. His expression turned gentler when he heard An Nuan's call. "Are you looking for Xiao Feng? He should be upstairs."
"Ah no." An Nuan cleared her throat. "I'll look for him later." She raised the food container in her hand. "My mom made some cakes. I'm going to find Mom first."
"Your mom should be in the garden," Lin Xu said. "Just head into the kitchen. You'll see her in the backyard."
"Then, I'll get going first." An Nuan turned to the kitchen to find her mother-in-law. After visiting the place quite a few times, she began getting used to the layout.
