Rachel continued searching the lab but she really didn't find anything that she would have considered necessary or vital. She paused and thought about the void beast in the cell behind her. She almost tensed when she heard its low chuckle.
"What exactly are you looking for Azmin? Maybe I can help you."
"From what I am told void beast only know how to devour. Why have you been put there?"
'Oh this?" The void beast ran a sharply clawed hand along the Bars of his cell. Surprisingly they caused a melodious ringing sound as if they and the bars were two parts of the same musical instrument. The void beast smiled at her without revealing teeth.
"This is actually a misunderstanding from long ago. I was locked away and forgotten." The void beast shrugged. "Life can be like that sometimes. Harsh and unforgiving."
Rachel frowned. "But you are the harshness of life. You are what's unforgiving."
