The dragon came.
The sky kept churning out large snowflakes, all of them shed from the perpetual snow layers of the Kunlun Snow Mountain, one after another in the hazy firelight. Far from any hint of romance, each flake was frozen solid, clattering to the ground upon impact.
— They were not fluffy snowflakes at all, but sharp-edged stones!
These large, hard as stone snowflakes pelted down on everyone present. As they hastily took their positions and mustered their Spiritual Power to prepare for battle, the Mystic Masters had no means to protect themselves. Many were bruised and swollen from the relentless battering of the snow blocks. The valley was filled with a cacophony, a continuous and uneasy chorus of shouts.
To the east, the writhing dark shadow had slowly unfurled its body. The long, serpent-like body faintly visible, antler-like horns in profile... Under the reflection of the snow's brilliance, occasional dark patterned scales shimmered with a fleeting glow...
