Actually, in the days that followed, the Sea Snake kept reflecting on the past actions but never quite understood what kind of thought had driven it to make that move.

The Sea Snake watched the strings of bubbles gurgle from his mouth; then, with a withdraw of its head, it returned into the Conch, using the suction of the mouth to firmly attach onto his ear.
Then, without much thought, it plunged into that narrow, twisting hole!
