"Do you see it?"
Atop a mountain near the pass, Song Heping had already set up his M24 sniper rifle.
He had been lying here for a full hour already.
It was now three o'clock in the morning.
Midnight is when the human body is the most exhausted.
After a full hour had passed, he finally saw a bit of movement through the lens.
A few specks of red suddenly appeared in the night vision scope.
It was these specks of red that piqued his interest in a rock 400 meters away.
They as were the red spots produced by infrared radiation in the night vision device.
"That's a sniper, at the 10 o'clock position, halfway up the mountainside."
He whispered, locking the crosshair firmly onto the target.
But it was not time to shoot, after all, he had only seen this one enemy so far.
There was no telling how many more there might be.
"Seen it."
