She didn't know how long it had been, but Jiang Jiu woke up hungry. When she opened her eyes, the sky outside had already darkened. As she got up, she discovered a tall silhouette seated next to her in the dark, startling her.
"Don't be afraid, it's me."
Hearing Jiang Siyan's voice, Jiang Jiu let out a sigh of relief, "You're back? Why didn't you turn on the light? You gave me quite a scare."
Jiang Siyan's voice was low, "So, you get scared."
Jiang Jiu sensitively picked up that something was off, "What's wrong? Are you in a bad mood? Did work give you trouble, or is your dad giving you a hard time again?"
Jiang Siyan grabbed her arm and pulled her into his embrace. Jiang Jiu, caught off guard, fell into his hold.
Jiang Jiu's eyes had adjusted to the darkness, and she met Jiang Siyan's cold, stern gaze, swallowing instinctively, "What's wrong with you?"
Jiang Siyan remained silent, sliding his hand under her shirt, caressing her slender waist.
