Lin Hang felt a bit distressed as he gazed at her innocent and adorable expression. It was a familiar face, yet the charm that once belonged to Shi Mei was no longer there.
If he had come back earlier, would everything be different?
But now, it was too late to say anything.
Taking the opportunity, Shi Mei withdrew her hand, saying timidly, "I need to go home now."
"Don't rush," Lin Hang looked at her warmly. "How about I order some dessert for you to eat?"
"No..."
"Shao Qian, order some desserts, no chocolate," Lin Hang said as he reached out to pull her back. "Sit down first, alright? Keep me company and chat for a bit."
Shi Mei still looked scared, but being pulled by him, she half-heartedly sat down.
Lin Hang sat across from her, pulling out a certificate from his bag, "Look, I did it, I've obtained a double degree from Caltech."
Shi Mei blinked at the long string of English on the certificate.
