For dinner, they had noodles. Bai Zhi didn't feel like cooking, so she simply made stir-fried noodles, her homemade noodles. After boiling them, she quickly rinsed them under cold water, then started to stir-fry them.
The stir-fried noodles with tomatoes and eggs had a sour and sweet taste. Wu Wa ate three big bowls and finally patted her belly contentedly.
"Ah Zhi, the stir-fried noodles you made are really delicious. If only Mommy could taste them too."
Wu Wa smiled and didn't seem the least bit sad. She simply missed Mommy.
"Back in the village, I always wanted to leave and try things on my own. But it's only been a day, and I already miss her a bit. Still, Mommy said that as her daughter, I shouldn't feel this way; I have to be brave, I have to study hard. I must become a very impressive person, so that in the future I can take care of everyone like she does."
