Liu Zheng resisted the urge to laugh at the French Plane Tree, waved goodbye, and turned to leave.
"Hmph, a City Hall lackey."
The French Plane Tree quietly opened its eyes and spat towards the departing truck.
"Pleh, a lackey's lackey. Come on, let's continue practicing!"
It spat a large mouthful at Liu Zheng's back, then pulled the Ginseng Sprite out from the Black Soil and continued practicing the court ballet it seemed to never learn.
As he approached Green Garden Mad City, the Nightingale finally called Liu Zheng.
"Missing me already?"
She teased in a playful tone.
"I was thinking about when you might become the chief, then I can hug a rich woman."
Liu Zheng said.
"You might have to wait. Even though I want to kill off those siblings right now, I'll let the old man live a few more years."
The Nightingale laughed.
