Tang Yan stood behind her, and though his hand, which had just fastened the necklace, wasn't in a hurry to leave, it casually rested on her shoulder, setting every place it touched ablaze.
"Tang Yan, if you're serious about me, then please keep it up," Jin Mo's voice was low yet clearly audible, each word piercing into Tang Yan's ears.
"If I weren't serious, would I have schemed for so long for your sake?" Tang Yan's voice suddenly rose, and he really wanted to crack open Jin Mo's head to see what was inside, wondering how, after all he had done, she still wouldn't easily trust his genuine feelings.
"Schemed?"
"It's nothing!" Tang Yan hurriedly interrupted the topic, then turned and went back to his own seat.
Jin Mo touched the necklace around her neck, feeling the blue gemstone's heat almost searing her chest, a mix of emotions both touched and uneasy.
