That night, the two of them embraced each other in sleep.
When Chi Yue woke up the next day, her eyes were swollen like walnuts.
Fu Rongyin didn't say anything, just handed her an ice pack.
Chi Yue silently took it and asked with a hoarse voice, "What are you doing here?"
"If I hadn't come, were you planning to sit all night?"
Chi Yue took off the ice pack and glared at him.
Fu Rongyin handed her a cup of warm milk, "Who gave you the photo?"
"What photo?" she feigned ignorance.
"The one in the group picture."
Chi Yue thought perhaps he had seen the photo when he came over, so she said, "Grandma gave it to me."
Fu Rongyin said nothing more, had breakfast with her, dropped her off at her studio, and then told her, "I'm going on a business trip, I won't be back for a few days."
"Mhm."
Chi Yue tried to push the car door open, but it wouldn't budge, so she turned to look at him.
