Ninjas acted as janitors, indicating an unusually high status for this laboratory. Lin Tian noticed that these ninjas didn't seem to have any spirit left in them, probably intimidated by the Gu Cultivators.
The two ninjas were cleaning up not human bodies, but rather what appeared to be animals, although they looked mummified to the extent that it was impossible to tell whether they were cats or dogs.
When the two ninjas saw Lin Tian and the others come in, they didn't speak and simply kept their heads down and continued working.
"Come with me over here. There are two more bodies in the corner," Kikuchi Mika turned to glance at Lin Tian and pointed towards the glass cases in the farthest corner.
There were other things in the rest of the glass cases, but Kikuchi Mika specifically wanted to clear out the corner. At first, Lin Tian found it odd, but upon closer inspection, he understood why.
