Jimmy furrowed his brow and took a deep breath, "Is it that troublesome? It's just a personal thought, but going through the official application process would be a hassle."
John said, "You need to know, the Special Service Bureau isn't just any department, it's not that easy to let you in."
Jimmy replied, "Alright, I'll go back and talk to Hughes about it, but I'm not hopeful."
The two chatted idly, drank a cup of coffee, and John had to return to the White House. Jimmy had nothing else to do, so he bought a ticket and flew back to New York.
Back home, Jimmy sent Tom a message using the unregistered phone from before, and then started tidying up his room. Although he hadn't been gone long, it still needed cleaning, including organizing the fridge and throwing out what needed to be discarded.
Tom returned the call, and Jimmy arranged to meet him that evening.
