The Flame God Dragon, Ignia—he was George's first target.

The moment he heard that name, he immediately thought of Natsu's foster father, Igneel. Both were fire dragons, and their names were strikingly similar—it was impossible not to make a connection.

He had previously helped Natsu use a tracking spell on Igneel, but it had yielded no results.

George speculated that there might be some familial relation between Ignia and Igneel. If that were true, then perhaps absorbing some dragon power from the Flame God Dragon would be much easier.

One day later, George arrived at the northernmost tip of the Northern Continent, a region covered by a chain of volcanoes.

"There's actually a city here?"

Following the trail of the tracking spell, he unexpectedly discovered a towering city nestled among the volcanoes.

Although the city wasn't large, it also didn't seem to have much human presence.

"So this is where the Flame God Dragon is hiding."

Retracting his wings, George silently descended.

However, just as he landed, a figure appeared behind him.

"Who are you, and why have you come to my Flame God City?"

George quickly turned around, only to see a young man standing before him, a sun-shaped tattoo on his chest, exuding terrifying magical power.

"This guy… he's the Flame God Dragon!"

With such overwhelming fire-elemental magic, George couldn't think of anyone else it could be.

According to Elefseria, powerful dragons could take on human forms, though they were not as strong in that state compared to their dragon forms.

Even so, George's instincts screamed at him—he couldn't win against this man.

"Excuse me, are you Mr. Ignia?"

George asked politely.

Upon hearing this, the young man's face immediately lit up with interest.

"Didn't expect you to know my name. Seems you came here specifically for me. Don't tell me you're another mage sent by Farion on a suicide mission?"

"Ahem, I actually wanted to ask—do you know Igneel?"

George swiftly changed the subject.

If he mentioned he had taken on a century quest, wouldn't that trigger an immediate fight?

"You know Igneel—my father? Who exactly are you?"

Ignia's expression changed dramatically at George's words.

He knew all about Farion—it was he who had deliberately caused the Earth God Dragon to lose to Farion, constructing a massive labyrinth underground to suppress the Five God Dragons' powers, all to reignite the Dragon King Festival and transform every human on the Northern Continent into dragons.

He was well aware that Farion had very limited intelligence on the Five God Dragons. There was no way Farion could know about his relationship with Igneel.

"Holy crap, they're father and son? Doesn't that make this guy Natsu's brother? This might actually work out!"

In contrast, George's eyes lit up when he learned that Ignia was Igneel's son.

"Actually, your father had a foster son named Natsu—and I'm his good friend."

"Hmph, you mean that human brat from four hundred years ago? I didn't expect him to still be alive."

Ignia's expression instantly darkened.

"You think just because you're connected to Igneel, you can be friendly with me?

Don't you know we dragons are solitary beings? Even between father and son, there's no affection.

And I despise that human brat. If he's still alive, I wouldn't hesitate to burn him to ashes.

Or maybe I should start by turning you, his friend, into ashes first!"

"Huh?"

George felt a strong sense of foreboding at Ignia's words, along with deep confusion.

He hadn't expected dragon kinship to be so devoid of emotion, nor did he understand what Ignia meant by Natsu being a child from four hundred years ago. Was Natsu really over four centuries old?

Then he suddenly remembered the day of the guild war, when Natsu couldn't pass through the magic barrier.

Maybe… it was actually possible.

However, now wasn't the time to dwell on that, because Ignia had already raised his hand and unleashed a stream of fire directly at him.

"Well then, let's give it a try."

In this situation, the best course of action would've naturally been to use Apparition and flee.

But after thinking it over, George decided he might as well test the waters. Since he was already here, why not probe a little and get a sense of the Five God Dragons' true strength? That way, he'd have a better idea of what he was dealing with.

"Armor Shield!"

George drew his wand and quickly cast an Iron Armor Charm, forming a protective barrier in front of him.

"It melted?!"

However, the magical shield created by the Iron Armor Charm lasted barely three seconds before it was incinerated and melted by Ignia's flames.

This was the first time he had ever encountered such a situation.

In the world of Harry Potter, the Iron Armor Charm was considered one of the strongest defensive spells—it could block nearly all magic except the Killing Curse.

With his current magical prowess, enhanced tenfold by the superior wands of this world, his defensive capability had reached an astonishing level.

Even Laxus's Thunder Dragon Halberd hadn't been able to scratch his Iron Armor Charm.

Yet Ignia's ordinary flame attack had completely melted it.

And this was Ignia in human form, which was supposed to be significantly weaker than his dragon form. The sheer power was terrifying.

Activating an electric surge through his body, George rapidly retreated to avoid the flames, his cat-like paw swiping through the air.

"Plasma Railgun!"

A pillar of plasma capable of slicing through small mountains shot toward Ignia, striking him with such force that it sent him flying.

"You're an interesting little cat."

Ignia's body erupted with intense flames, forming a barrier that completely blocked the plasma at the surface of his skin.

A mere cat, and yet it could unleash such an attack?

Though the strike hadn't injured him, among human mages, this level of power marked George as a formidable warrior with great potential.

"I have a pet flame cat of my own. If you're willing to become my pet, I might consider sparing your life."

"Looks like I'll have to use that move."

Seeing Ignia walking toward him through the plasma barrage, George realized that conventional magical attacks wouldn't break through Ignia's defenses.

He decided it was time to unleash the super magic he had recently mastered.

"Super Magic: Fairy Law!"

Clasping his hands together, a dazzling white light exploded from George's body, and a massive magic circle appeared in the sky above Flame God City.

Fairy Law wasn't particularly difficult to learn, and during his month of studying Dragon Slayer Magic, George had managed to master it.

Boom!

A gigantic beam of light instantly engulfed Ignia.

Three seconds later, the light faded. Ignia stood in place, suddenly coughing up a mouthful of dragon blood, veins bulging across his face. His composed demeanor had vanished completely.

"Impressive. This is the first time in over a hundred years I've been injured. I'm going to burn you to ashes!"

Terrifying flames surged from Ignia's body. In a flash, he lunged toward George, intent on killing him.

"That cost me a third of my life force and only caused a light injury? This is insane—time to bail!"

George pulled out a mirror he had prepared in advance, one imbued with Mirror Magic, and dove into it, immediately using Apparition to vanish from the scene.
