Chapter 14 - Shadows of Pandemonium

Far away from the peaceful village of Elforia, hidden deep within the dark recesses of the world, lies the stronghold of the infamous dark guild—**Pandemonium**. A place where only the strongest survive, and the cruelest thrive. The eerie silence was only broken by the occasional, bone-chilling whisper of wind. Within the towering, black stone fortress, the air was thick with tension, and power radiated from every corner.

Inside the great hall, five towering figures sat in an ominous formation. They were the **Five Commanders** of Pandemonium, each known for their unique and terrifying abilities. At the head of the table sat **Zyga, the Vanisher**—the strongest and most feared of them all. His dark, calculating eyes scanned the room, exuding an air of supremacy that few dared to challenge.

Zyga's power to teleport was unrivaled, and his ability to manipulate space was limitless. He was known for vanishing without a trace and dragging his enemies into deadly, inescapable traps. Now, his eyes glinted with malice as he stared ahead, listening intently to the report being delivered.

At his right sat **Karen, the Bloodlust**, a tall woman with crimson hair and a cold, deadly gaze. Her power to control the blood of living beings made her feared across all lands. She could bend her victims to her will, twisting their blood into lethal weapons. Beside her, a pool of blood from a defeated warrior congealed into a sharp spear, held in her hand like a trophy.

On Zyga's left sat **Drake, the Distraction**, a massive, hulking figure with arms as thick as tree trunks. His power to crush anything in his path was legendary—magic, steel, or bone turned to ash under his fists. The ground beneath him seemed to tremble as he flexed his monstrous muscles.

Beside him, **Larries, the Nightmare**, lounged lazily, but his sharp eyes flickered with malicious amusement. His ability to turn his thoughts and dreams into reality made him a living nightmare for his enemies. He could conjure horrors from the deepest recesses of his mind, trapping his foes in a world they couldn't escape.

Finally, **Miria, the Calm Witch**, sat at the far end of the table, her expression serene but her power unmatched in sorcery. She could counter nearly any spell cast her way, her calm demeanor masking the depth of her vast, destructive abilities. Her eyes glowed faintly as she listened to the others.

And standing before them, shrouded in shadow, was **Shero, the Shadowy Killer**, one of the four elites of Pandemonium. His form seemed to flicker in and out of existence, blending with the shadows around him. He knelt before the five commanders, his voice low as he gave his report.

"I have returned from the Shattered Fortress," Shero said, his voice barely more than a whisper but carrying throughout the hall. "Rheus Marcellion and Luisa have escaped, and they are not alone. They have found an ally, a wizard by the name of Alex."

Zyga's expression didn't change, but his eyes gleamed with interest. "A wizard, you say? One aligned with the Lost Kingdom?"

"Possibly," Shero responded. "He seems to know much about ancient prophecies and the Lost Kingdom. I trailed them as far as I could, but I could not strike without revealing too much of myself. The situation grows more complex. They are gaining power and allies."

Karen smirked, her fingers idly playing with the blood spear she had formed. "It seems this 'Rheus Marcellion' has some potential after all. Perhaps I should pay him a visit and see how his blood tastes."

Zyga raised a hand to silence her. "No. We must be cautious. They may have more knowledge about the **Power of the Lost Kingdom** than we originally thought. For now, we observe. Let them believe they are making progress, and when the time is right, we will strike."

Larries let out a low chuckle, his eyes flickering as if he were already imagining the nightmares he would unleash on their enemies. "Oh, I can't wait to meet this Marcellion. I'll turn his greatest fears into reality."

Drake cracked his knuckles, the sound echoing ominously through the hall. "Whatever plans you make, just make sure I'm there when it's time to crush them."

Zyga leaned back, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the armrest of his chair. "Patience, Drake. Patience. The time will come when they will beg for mercy, but until then, we gather more information. Shero, continue your surveillance. Do not engage unless absolutely necessary."

Shero nodded, his form vanishing into the shadows as quickly as he had appeared. The room fell silent for a moment, the commanders deep in thought, each plotting their own way to destroy the growing threat posed by Rheus and his allies.

But the quiet didn't last long. Heavy footsteps echoed through the hall, and the commanders turned their attention to the door at the far end of the chamber. The massive double doors creaked open, and a figure stepped into the room.

It was **Delra**, the **Guild Master of Pandemonium**.

Clad in black armor, his face hidden in the shadow of his hood, Delra exuded an aura of unimaginable power. His mere presence caused a palpable shift in the atmosphere, and even the Five Commanders fell silent in his presence.

"No one knows what Delra's true abilities are," Miria had once remarked, "but the fact that we all fear him is proof enough of his strength."

Delra's voice, low and commanding, reverberated through the hall. "I've heard of your report, Shero. The time to act draws near. Continue to gather information on Rheus Marcellion, and when the moment is right, we will descend upon him and his allies."

Zyga stood and bowed slightly. "Yes, Master Delra. We await your command."

Delra's eyes gleamed from beneath his hood, a dangerous, dark fire burning within them. "Do not fail me."

Meanwhile, far from the shadowy halls of Pandemonium, Rheus, Luisa, and Alex continued their work, unaware of the growing threat that loomed over them. As they poured over the ancient journal, the village of Elforia remained peaceful, a stark contrast to the storm that was about to descend upon them.

The pieces were being set into motion, and soon, Rheus would find himself facing the dark power of Pandemonium. But for now, the secrets of the Lost Kingdom beckoned, and Rheus was determined to unravel them, unaware of the sinister eyes watching his every move.
