The wind screamed through the frozen wasteland as Ethan took his stance, his golden-red energy crackling like a storm barely restrained. Across from him, the drake and the serpent-like beast stood poised, their bodies radiating sound waves so intense they warped the air itself.


Ethan rolled his shoulders. "So, which one of you wants to go first?"


The drake responded with a roar, sending a shockwave powerful enough to distort reality itself. But this time, Ethan was ready.
