The shadow brought over the ice cream by opening the door between the sitting room and bedroom. It could pass through walls, but it couldn't bring other things with it when it does so.
Kelvin received the ice cream and ate it contently. He was truly content even though he didn't gain the immortality he wanted.
He had used the Life Bond ability on his shadows, but he couldn't target them. It didn't work because they were his abilities, not a separate entity that he could anchor his existence to.
It is a letdown, but he is very happy with what he got.
He finished the cup and said with some emotion. "I'll miss Wrath. She was a tumor, but she was wise and sometimes fun. We had some good time."
One shadow whispered to the other, "What is he doing?"
The other shadow shushed him. "Don't interrupt him. He is pretending to care."
A third snickered and said, "If he had cared, he wouldn't have killed her."
He looked over at them and said, "I can hear you."
