But what really caught his attention was the Random Character Ability Ticket. His heart started racing again. Does that mean... I can get some OP ability from the DMC world?!
"Use the ability gacha," he mumbled, his voice trembling a little.
The system notification flashed brightly, and Alex quickly closed his eyes, praying hard for something overpowered.
[ Congratulations Host on obtaining: Time Dilation Sphere! ]
Time Dilation Sphere: Launch a grey orb that expands up to 30 meters.Anyone caught inside will have their time slowed down by ten times compared to normal.(Note: Host is not affected.)Duration: 5 seconds.
Alex stared at the description, his jaw dropping.
"Bro... that's broken!" he shouted, his excitement shooting through the roof. Five seconds of enemies moving like snails while I'm normal? That's a free win button!
Cough!
But something felt wrong.
Alex suddenly coughed up blood, his hands trembling as he wiped his lips.
"W-What just happened?" he mumbled weakly as the system interface appeared again.
[ Warning: Host's body cannot withstand the power of Demonic Energy. ]
[ A normal human body infused with demon energy would have died instantly, but due to the Supreme Demon Lineage ability and the fact that Character V's body is used as your foundation, you are barely surviving. ]
[ However, the host's body was already extremely weakened due to prior drug abuse, leading to this critical situation. ]
[ Host is advised to obtain a healing-type ability immediately. ]
Alex read the warnings, his heart sinking fast.
Without wasting another second, he opened the System Shop, desperately scrolling through the healing abilities.
"Regeneration might do," he muttered as he skimmed the options.
Among the list, he spotted the best one available: Hyper Regeneration. Without thinking, he spent almost all the gold he had left and bought it.
As soon as he did, a warm light enveloped him. His shriveled body rapidly healed, bones making noices as if perfectly aligning back, scars vanishing like smoke, and even his worn-out organs regenerating to better-than-original condition.
Alex slumped back onto the bed, gasping.
"Damn... I almost thought I was gonna get sent back to the afterlife," he muttered with a bitter laugh.
Still, he couldn't relax just yet. I need to do something about this body.
Even healed, his frame was still far too skinny and weak compared to what he used to have. His body was even worse than the original V's...
"I'll see the Demon Contract later," he said, determined. "But first... let's check what this Supreme Demon Lineage ability actually gives me."
With that, he opened up its description, excitement flickering in his chest once again.
[ Supreme Demon Lineage ]
Origin:
This bloodline descends from the legendary knight Spara, the first mortal to ever slay a Demon King and devour his heart. Through an ancient ritual, Spara transformed into a being that transcended both humans and demons — a Supreme Demon.
Status:
Most of the original power of the bloodline has been lost after Vergil seperated himslef in V and Urizen. Only a few primal abilities remain intact:
Supreme Demon Energy:
The purest form of demonic energy, superior to ordinary demon mana. It is dense, volatile, and extremely destructive, yet malleable to a skilled user. Alex can manipulate it freely once his body adapts fully.
Demon Energy Immunity :
Damage dealt to body by Demon energy is reduce by 90%.
Lost Abilities:
Abilities such as Eternal Regeneration, Demon King's Dominion, Reality Rend, and Infernal Apotheosis were once part of the Supreme Lineage but have been lost due to dilution of the bloodline and lack of inheritance rites.

"Hmm, so it just basically gives me more juice and immunity to that juice... so much for Supreme," Alex mumbled, slowly dying a little inside as he read the weakened ability description.
"Damn it, why did I get V's body as my foundation? Why not Dante, Vergil, or even Nero?" he grumbled, slumping back.
Right on cue, a small notification popped up.
[ Body selection was based on compatibility. A matching body has been provided. ]
Alex sighed deeply, rubbing his face.
"Of course. Matchmaking my ass."
Still, no use crying over it. He had bigger things to worry about — like getting his first demon contract.
"Time to see what demon I can get," Alex mumbled as he pulled up the Contract tab, feeling a mix of excitement and dread.
His mind buzzed with possibilities.
Would it be Shadow?
Griffon?
Maybe even Nightmare?
Or—he shivered a little—some weird trash demon he'd have to drag around until he upgraded.
"Please don't give me some fixer-upper demon..." he muttered, crossing his fingers as he confirmed the summon.
The system responded instantly:
[ Searching suitable Contract Demon... ]
[ Suitable match found! ]
[ Summoning... ]
A dark purple magic circle flared open before him, filling the room with a heavy, oppressive aura. Alex braced himself, heart pounding, as a figure slowly began to emerge from the mist...
The next moment—CRACK!
A violent burst of shadows erupted out of the circle. From within the smoke, a lean, predatory figure emerged, covered in blood-red fur that shimmered unnaturally, almost blending into the darkness itself. Two gleaming, yellow eyes snapped open, locking onto Alex with raw, murderous instinct.
A Fury.
The demon stood upright for a moment, its body tensed like a coiled spring, tail lashing the air, razor-sharp claws twitching in excitement. Every inch of it screamed danger. Alex instantly felt the primal fear of something that could—and wanted to—tear him apart in less than a second.
The system's voice chimed in as casually as ever:
[ Contract Summon Complete. Demon: Fury (DMC Variant). ]
[ Contract Type: Combat Slave ]
[ Loyalty: 55% (Caution: Highly unstable and aggressive.) ]
Alex stared, frozen.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" he yelped. "You gave me a freaking FURY?!"
The Fury snarled low in its throat, taking a slow, stalking step forward like it was about to pounce. Alex instinctively raised his hands and shouted, "Sit!"
Surprisingly, the Fury froze. Its claws scraped the ground as it reluctantly lowered itself into a crouch, though its muscles remained tensed like springs about to snap.
Alex wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "Holy crap..." he breathed. "This thing's a damn murder machine."
