Chapter 126 - Chapter 126 My Daughter, Hela!

After Luo Bai set up the magic circle, Kamar-Taj's energy field shifted, and Odin immediately sensed something was wrong.

He felt a sudden surge in the surrounding energy, his brows furrowing as he muttered, "Is this an illusion? Why does it feel like the energy here is growing wildly?"

Odin knew something was off, but he wasn't certain.

That was until Luo Bai spoke, confirming his suspicion. "It seems the God King has noticed."

Odin frowned, his confusion deepening. "Why did it happen so suddenly?"

Luo Bai simply responded with a question of his own. "Can't the God King see the reason?"

Odin was momentarily stunned.

In truth, when he first sensed the energy spike, he had already formed some vague guesses.

After all, there weren't many ways to drastically alter Kamar-Taj's energy field in such a short time and instantly enhance the power of all its mages. The most direct method was bestowing power.

To put it simply, Luo Bai had connected himself with Kamar-Taj, turning it into his own domain.

This meant that Kamar-Taj would be filled with his energy, allowing all the mages within it to absorb power from him and rapidly improve.

Odin had used a similar method himself—Asgard and Odin were intrinsically linked.

Within Asgard, Odin possessed boundless power and could grant strength to any Asgardian at will.

But... he was the God King!

It was undeniable that among the younger generation, Luo Bai was exceptionally gifted—far superior to both Loki and Thor.

However, no matter how talented he was, it didn't change the fact that he had only studied magic for a few years.

Just how much energy would it take to connect the entire Kamar-Taj and provide power to all its mages?

Luo Bai had only been practicing magic for a short time—how could he possibly create a dimension that generated its own energy?

Odin found it highly unlikely, yet he couldn't come up with another explanation.

His curiosity finally got the better of him. After hesitating for a long moment, he couldn't help but ask tentatively, "Could it be that you granted these wizards power?"

He had asked casually, fully expecting the answer to be no.

But in the next second, Luo Bai responded with certainty. "The God King is correct. I did lend some energy to the mages."

"????"

Odin was visibly stunned.

The expression on his face was priceless.

He looked at Luo Bai—no, to be more precise, he was sizing him up.

The more he looked, the more shock filled his eyes.

No one knew how long he remained silent before he finally muttered in disbelief, "Where do you get so much energy?"

"Maybe it's because I have good talent and learn quickly," Luo Bai replied calmly.

Odin didn't believe a word of it.

Through training alone, could someone accumulate such a massive amount of energy in such a short time?

If that were possible, Thor would have become the God King long ago!

Thinking of this, Odin couldn't help but scoff. "You might be able to fool others with that nonsense, but not me."

Luo Bai merely shrugged with a smile. "Maybe it's just luck."

Odin frowned again. He didn't quite understand what Luo Bai meant.

But he didn't have time to dwell on it, because the changes in Kamar-Taj were becoming more and more apparent.

The place was now overflowing with energy—an immense, terrifying force.

In the past, a mage's progress was slow because they had to draw energy from the multiverse. Those with weaker talent might struggle to absorb even a trace.

But now, with Luo Bai flooding Kamar-Taj with energy, the mages were essentially being fed power directly.

Put simply, talent no longer mattered.

No matter how bad your aptitude was, if someone handed you energy on a silver platter, you would inevitably grow stronger.

If this continued for long, the number of powerful mages in Kamar-Taj would skyrocket. Their combat strength would be unimaginable.

At that point, forget Asgard's warriors—even Thor himself might not be able to defeat a single mage from Kamar-Taj.

Any random mage could likely turn his son into a mere footnote in battle.

Although Odin always claimed that Asgard and Kamar-Taj were allies, as the God King, he naturally didn't want Asgard to be at a disadvantage.

But... no matter how much he wished otherwise, reality was cruel.

After witnessing what had happened to Kamar-Taj today, Odin could already foresee the future—Luo Bai turning Asgard into dust in an instant.

The more he thought about it, the quieter he became.

Finally, unable to contain his frustration, Odin asked, "How on earth did you do it? You've only studied magic for a few years—how did you become this powerful??"

Luo Bai replied seriously, "Didn't I already say it? I'm just lucky."

"..."

Odin didn't know how to respond. After an awkward pause, he forced a smile and said, "Actually, I was just joking earlier. With you leading Kamar-Taj, I believe it won't be long before it surpasses Asgard."

After speaking, Odin once again turned his gaze toward the mages who were training.

A moment ago, they had only been practicing basic magic, but now they had advanced to higher levels.

Before, they could barely transform energy into simple sharp blades for attacks. But now, after being strengthened, they were actually forming spatial blades with their bare hands.

Under Wang's guidance, the mages focused intently, conjuring one slender, translucent space blade after another.

Even Doctor Strange, who had only recently joined Kamar-Taj, managed to keep up with the progress, successfully forming a space blade in his palm.

Witnessing the sudden transformation of these mages, Odin fell silent once again.

After a long pause, he let out an awkward chuckle before finally admitting in a slightly helpless tone, "Alright… they've already surpassed us."

With that, Odin sighed.

His expression practically screamed:

We can't win. We just can't win.

Luo Bai alone was enough to elevate all of Kamar-Taj—how could Thor possibly keep up?

Of course, Luo Bai fully understood Odin's concerns.

He smiled and reassured him, "My relationship with Thor is actually pretty good, and I'm not really interested in Asgard. God King, you don't have to worry too much."

Luo Bai had intended these words to comfort Odin, hoping to ease his concerns.

No matter how powerful Kamar-Taj became, Asgard would always have its place in the Nine Realms.

However, to his surprise, Odin suddenly shook his head. His expression turned serious—almost solemn—as he said, "No. I think you should be interested."

Luo Bai: "????"

Luo Bai frowned, his expression a mix of confusion and disbelief.

For a brief moment, he even wondered if Odin had been so overwhelmed by the situation that he had lost his senses.

Was he actually suggesting that Luo Bai should take over Asgard?

"God King, what are you talking about? Why would I have any interest in Asgard? I don't want to be the God King." Luo Bai couldn't help but complain.

Odin shook his head and explained, "No, you don't understand. It's not about who the God King is. What truly matters is Asgard itself."

Then, after a brief pause, Odin's voice dropped to a grave tone as he uttered,

"Luo Bai… my daughter, Hela, will soon return."
