The more Odin thought about it, the angrier he became. In a deep voice, he said, "Thank you for your hospitality these past few days. I just remembered that I have other matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave now."
Without waiting for Luo Bai to respond, he turned and left.
Seeing Odin's angry expression, Luo Bai immediately understood—Thor and Loki were probably in trouble.
Odin was someone who cared deeply about his dignity, yet now he had been "forced" into signing an agreement by Luo Bai. It would be strange if he didn't take out his frustration on his two sons.
Luo Bai could only sigh in resignation.
After calmly finishing a cup of tea, he returned to the New York Sanctum.
He had previously absorbed a great deal of energy from the multiverse, and now it was time to put that power to use—by creating life.
Upon returning to the second floor of the Sanctum, Luo Bai stepped into his personal dark dimension and began his work.
In Luo Bai's memory, Marvel had a particularly powerful vampire—Dracula.
Compared to most vampires, he was on an entirely different level. With Luo Bai's abilities, it was possible to create a formidable vampire using Dracula as a template.
As he pondered this, he began gathering energy.
A powerful dark aura condensed before Luo Bai. In the blink of an eye, the first advanced lifeform emerged—a male vampire.
On the surface, this vampire looked no different from an ordinary human.
However, his most notable vampire trait was his extremely pale skin.
At the moment of his creation, he appeared slightly dazed, his eyes widening as he surveyed his surroundings.
The instant he laid eyes on Luo Bai, he immediately knelt and addressed him with deep reverence, "Father."
To him, Luo Bai was his creator—his "father" in the truest sense.
Luo Bai had no concerns about this vampire ever betraying him. When he created him, he had already instilled unwavering loyalty into his very consciousness.
This was why, at this moment, the vampire's respect was absolute.
Gazing at his "masterpiece," Luo Bai was very satisfied and immediately instructed, "Try using your abilities."
The vampire nodded. In the next instant, he began testing his powers.
Just as Luo Bai had anticipated—
The vampire possessed near-unmatched strength and speed.
He could also fly, shapeshift, and even wield basic dark magic.
By all accounts, this creation was a complete success.
After demonstrating his abilities, the vampire stepped forward and asked, "Father, are you satisfied?"
Luo Bai nodded and replied, "I'm quite satisfied. However, you don't need to call me 'Father' from now on. Address me as the 'Sorcerer Supreme.'"
"Understood, Sorcerer Supreme," the vampire responded.
Just as Luo Bai was about to continue creating more advanced lifeforms, the vampire suddenly spoke again.
"Please grant me a name."
Luo Bai blinked.
Right. He hadn't thought of that.
If he didn't start naming them, things would get chaotic once he created more.
But... Luo Bai wasn't particularly good at naming things.
After mulling it over for a while, he still couldn't think of a good name. In the end, he simply shrugged and chose a random one.
It was just a name—why overcomplicate it?
"From now on, you will be called Nicholas."
"Thank you, Sorcerer Supreme," Nicholas said gratefully.
Luo Bai nodded and instructed, "From now on, you will guard this place and train here. If needed, I will summon you to fight."
Nicholas acknowledged the order and went off to train.
Meanwhile, Luo Bai resumed his work—creating more life.
The second lifeform he created was, once again, a vampire.
With his prior experience, the process this time was much faster and more refined.
He took everything he was dissatisfied with in Nicholas' creation and improved upon it—resulting in a vampire even more powerful than Nicholas.
This time, it was a female vampire.
Luo Bai had a certain standard for appearances, so every vampire he created was incredibly attractive.
Like Nicholas, the female vampire immediately knelt before him.
"Sorcerer Supreme."
She didn't call him "Father" because Luo Bai had learned his lesson.
This time, he had instilled the concept of "Sorcerer Supreme" into her consciousness right from the start. Otherwise, given his rate of creation, he would soon find himself with far too many "children" at such a young age.
"Please grant me a name, Sorcerer Supreme," she said.
Having already gone through the naming process once, Luo Bai was much more prepared this time. Without hesitation, he said:
"From now on, your name will be Paige."
"Thank you, Sorcerer Supreme," Paige responded with a smile.
After receiving her name, she immediately began training.
With two advanced lifeforms created, Luo Bai didn't stop there.
He continued experimenting—creating various new races.
Among them were werewolves, harpies, night demons, and bat-men.
For each race, he selected their strongest individuals to serve as their leaders.
Watching as his dark dimension filled with more and more life, Luo Bai finally decided to pause.
Not because he wanted to stop—but because the energy consumption was far greater than he had expected.
His creations were hungry.
The more powerful they were, the greater their energy requirements. Some of them were already on the brink of starvation.
Luo Bai had no choice.
He would have to absorb more energy from various dark dimensions—while also gathering additional power from across the multiverse.
The stronger his creations became, the more energy they would require. And their appetite?
It was insatiable.
The main issue was the overwhelming hunger.
Luo Bai had long since gotten used to the constant drain of energy caused by the Fairy Power.
But recently, for some unknown reason, his appetite for Fairy Power had grown even stronger, making him feel a bit uneasy.
After absorbing a massive amount of energy from across the multiverse, Luo Bai finally felt a sense of relief.
Just as he was about to return and check on things, the Fairy Power suddenly stirred.
"Over there! Over there! What a fat planet!!!"
The Fairy Power communicated with Luo Bai through its will.
To be honest, Luo Bai had no idea where it had learned to speak like this.
Fat planet? What the hell did that even mean?
Generally speaking, planets with immense energy were usually inhabited.
It was rare for an uninhabited planet to contain such powerful energy.
At first, Luo Bai had no particular interest in investigating.
After all, attacking a planet with lifeforms could easily trigger a planetary war.
But the Fairy Power was practically salivating with excitement.
After weighing the pros and cons, Luo Bai decided to take a look.
If the planet turned out to be lifeless, then he had stumbled upon an absolute goldmine.
And as it turned out…
Luo Bai's luck buff was not to be underestimated.
What he found was exactly what he had hoped for—an uninhabited planet with tremendous energy.
Gazing at the radiant, energy-infused planet before him, Luo Bai was thrilled.
Just as he was about to celebrate his good fortune, something unexpected happened.
The planet suddenly moved on its own.
In the next instant, an unbelievably strong force pulled Luo Bai in.
Luo Bai didn't resist and instead allowed himself to be drawn into the planet's core.
And that's when he realized—
This wasn't just any planet.
This was a living planet.
Wait… a living planet?
Could this be… Ego, the Living Planet?!
Just as the thought crossed his mind, a deep voice echoed across the entire planet:
"The prey has taken the bait... Hmm... This powerful energy is truly exhilarating."
Prey?!
Wait a second…
So Ego was here… and he had lured Luo Bai in on purpose?!
Luo Bai was stunned.
At first, he had thought that he was the lucky one to have stumbled upon Ego.
But in reality—
Ego had been the one targeting him!
He was treating the Fairy Power as prey?!
You've got some nerve.
Thinking of this, Luo Bai couldn't help but scoff:
"I've seen plenty of people who aren't afraid of death…
But it's my first time meeting someone as suicidal as you."
