Chapter 14 - The power of technology 3: Doom

Desert region

As Doom stood over the dead body of the Yautja, he thought back on the last month. Victor, after sending a few of his subordinates to the second floor, gained enough information, created light and strong equipment. He then entered the second floor himself.

He found it slightly difficult, becoming weaker and being thrown into the hot desert in an unknown world, but Doom possessed incredible willpower. For 3 days, he wandered and fought Predators. On the 4th day, he encountered someone, the person wasn't another tower Participate but a tower guide. Inside a cave, an armored humanoid dragon covered in gleaming white and blue metallic plating accented with gold. It has large, radiant wings resembling those of a dragon. He had his arms folded, and his dragonic eyes made Doom feel significant pressure. Above him, the name GigaThunder660 floated.

( Shout out to GigaThunder660 for all the support and power stones you sent. I'll add other supports throughout the story.)

" Victor Von Doom, I am GigaThunder660. I have a few things I wish for someone to do for me, and if you complete them, I will give you rewards." Doom received 3 quests; his first quest was to locate a YautjaShip and to hand him a high tech USB flash drive. He was given a map that showed him the general area of where a ship was located. When he found the ship, he had to fight 3 different Predators to enter the ship safely. One of the Predators, after Doom had killed him, received a metal card with a Yautjawriting on it. The card gave Doom full control of the ship. He flew the ship to the cave and handed the high-tech USB flash drive to GigaThunder660. The reward he received was information on another map labeled ???.

Victor wasn't rushing to take on more quests or follow the map's directions just yet. His ship's computer already held valuable data on the Yautja: their technology, tactics, and other crucial details. The tower had translated their language into English so he could read and understand it. Doom stood at the ship's control panel as he scanned through the multiple files saved. He scanned through the data, absorbing everything it had on the Yautja.

The first files detailed their biology. The Yautja were taller and stronger than humans, their bodies built for combat. Thick, durable skin protected them from minor wounds, and their muscles were dense, allowing them to move fast despite their size. Their mandibles and sharp teeth weren't just for show, they could tear through flesh easily. Their Increased size and powerful bodies evolved from living on this massive planet. The gravity and climate here had made the planet's inhabitants extremely strong. Something in the files had caught his attention, though; it seemed that the Yautja had been to other planets, one of them being Earth.

There wasn't much information about what they did on this planet in this file, but there was something there Victor found that shocked him. There, inside the file, was data on human biology; that wasn't what shocked him. What had shocked him was that the Yautja had human DNA, or it's more like a few of the Yautja had human DNA in their bodies. It seemed as if the Yautja were doing experiments to create what they called super Yautjas.

Another file explained their technology. Their armor was lightweight yet strong, designed to endure bullets and extreme conditions. Their helmets enhanced vision, allowing them to see heat signatures, track movement, and even detect energy sources. They also had cloaking devices, letting them vanish from sight, making them deadly hunters. They also used a special alloy made from meteorite, Steel, and a few other metals native to Yautja Prime to create the alloy they use( A.N. I'm making this part up since I can't find information on what their equipment is made from.). There were a Few who used weapons created from the bodies of something called xenomorphs, they also called them the ultimate prey.

Doom continued reading, moving to their weapons. Their wrist blades were razor-sharp, able to cut through bone with ease. Their plasma casters, mounted on their shoulders, fired powerful energy blasts that could melt through metal. They carried various other weapons—spears, throwing discs, and nets that tightened around prey. Each tool was meant for the hunt, for killing. They also created specialized weapons depending on their fighting style and personal preference. They used a special alloy made from meteorite, Steel, and a few other metals native to Yautja Prime to create the alloy they use( A.N. I'm making this part up since I can't find information on what their equipment is made from.). There were a Few who used weapons created from the bodies of something called xenomorphs, they also called them the ultimate prey.

The next section was about their society. They had a code; honor mattered. They hunted strong prey, never attacking the weak unless provoked. They only fought those who posed a challenge, and those who managed to defeat a Yautja were sometimes spared or even respected. However, if a hunter was dishonored, they were exiled or killed by their kind. Those who were labeled as fugitives and hunted. They would also be classified as fugitives if they did something against their law.

The Yautjas lived in both large cities and tribal like areas, but the information on the cities was blocked by the Tower. Victor had multiple guesses on why that was the case, but ignoring it, he returned to reading the file. The Yautja were ranked as Youngbloods, Inexperienced hunters proving themselves. Blooded Hunters are warriors who have successfully completed hunts and have hunted the ultimate prey. It's at this stage where they receive their plasma casters. Elite Hunters are highly skilled and experienced predators, often hunting alone and capable of taking down other Yautja. Elder Predators are Respected leaders of clans. Yautja who have lived longer than other Yautja and have proved themselves as worthy by hunting multiple powerful prey, including a xenomorph queen. Super Yautja are larger, more aggressive subspecies with greater strength, often created when an elite hunter or an elder survives being implanted with a foreign DNA and evolving their genes. The chance of a super Yautja being created is extremely low.

' This planet is at least 4 times the size of Earth. The gravity here is also stronger than on Earth. When entering this second floor, besides not being able to use my magical abilities, I also felt weaker. I felt slower; my reaction time and my physical strength all seemed to be at the level of an average man. What if this was due to the gravity and atmosphere of the planet and not the tower tweaking us? No, the tower had definitely weakened the people on the second floor. There were others from other worlds whose bodies were much stronger without the need of magical powers and to my knowledge their still as weak as an average human. What if I train my body here?' As Victor was lost in his thoughts, the idea of training on the second floor entered his mind.

As he trained his body for the next 2 weeks, he learned about one of the second floor's secrets: any physical training done on the second floor would be boosted. After these 2 weeks, Victor's Physical strength, speed, and other physical capabilities could be matched to anyone one of the Elite Hunters. It was during this time that he went to accept a mission from GigaThunder660. When he arrived, he saw a man wearing a black Panther suit being handed a blueprint and using a retuners stone to leave the Tower. He also saw a middle-aged man wearing a bandage on his head covering his left eye and left arm. The middle-aged man turned around and saw Victor wearing his Doom outfit and sensed he couldn't beat him.

" Hello there, Im Danzo..." Before Danzo could finish his sentence, Doom grabbed him by his throat and crushed it, He threw his Lifeless body on the floor. He went up to GigaThunder660 and accepted the last mission he had available. The mission was to head west and eliminate a small tribe of Yautjas, the strongest being an Elite hunter. He accepted and entered the ship, flying towards them. When he arrived and left the ship, he had the plasma caster on his shoulder, wristblades gauntlets he wore, and a plasma gun. 10 other Yautja waited for him as he left his ship; 5 were youngbloods, 4 were Blooded Hunters, and one was an Elite Hunter.

Here's the continuation of your story, keeping the same writing style and tone:

Victor took a step forward, his boots sinking slightly into the sand. The Yautja spread out, their mandibles twitching as they clicked and growled in their native tongue. They were wary, but they didn't see him as a threat—not yet. The Youngbloods moved first, their inexperience showing as they tried to rush him from multiple angles. Doom didn't hesitate. His plasma caster whirred to life, sending a scorching bolt through the chest of the first attacker. The Yautja let out a shriek as it collapsed. He pivoted, using his wrist blades to gut the second, blood spraying across his armor. The third swung wildly with its combistick, but Doom ducked low, driving his blade through its abdomen and twisting. Three down in seconds. The last two hesitated, realizing the mistake of underestimating him, but it was too late. A precise plasma shot tore through one's mask, and the other met its end as Doom sidestepped its attack and crushed its throat with his gauntlet.

The Blooded Hunters were different. More experienced, more cautious. They circled him, using their cloaking to disappear in the thick jungle mist. Doom's eyes flicked from side to side, analyzing their movements, waiting for the inevitable strike. A shimmer in the air to his left—he reacted instantly, raising his plasma gun and firing. A pained roar confirmed the hit, but another hunter lunged from behind. Doom twisted, the Yautja's wrist blades scraping against his armor as he barely avoided a fatal wound. He countered with a swift elbow to its head, stunning it long enough to drive his wrist blade through its throat. Another came from the right, but he grabbed its arm mid-swing and yanked, snapping the joint out of place before finishing it with a point-blank shot to the skull. The remaining two attacked together. One managed to slice across his shoulder, drawing blood. Doom gritted his teeth, grabbing the wounded hunter and using its body as a shield against the other's attack before dispatching them both in quick succession.

The Elite Hunter stood motionless, watching. It had assessed Doom's skill, acknowledged the difference in strength between them. This one wasn't reckless like the others. It removed its mask, revealing deep scars across its mandibles—a veteran of many battles. It let out a guttural growl before activating its wrist blades, extending them to full length. Doom smirked beneath his mask. The Elite moved first, faster than the others, its strikes precise. Doom was barely blocked in time, the force behind each hit rattling his arms. He countered with a knee to its ribs, but it didn't even flinch. The fight dragged on, neither willing to give ground. Doom's armor was damaged, his body aching, but he refused to fall. The Yautja feinted left, then slashed right, carving into his side. Doom staggered, but before it could press its advantage, he lunged forward, jamming his wrist blades deep into its gut. The Elite roared in defiance, trying to strike back, but Doom twisted the blades violently before firing his plasma gun point-blank into its chest. The hunter fell, its body twitching before going still. Doom took a slow breath, wiping the blood from his armor.

Doom then returned to his ship and bandaged his wounds, he refused to leave yet. When he arrived back, he went to GigaThunder660 and received his reward. He received materials and equipment to create and upgrade his armor with these new materials. When the 3rd mission ended, white and blue thunder rained from the clear sky, and GigaThunder660 disappeared. Doom didn't mind and used the cave as a place to work on his new armor. In a week, he managed to upgrade his armor and equip it with technology to help him against the Yautja.

Doom thought about leaving the Tower but remembered the First reward he received, the map called ???. He decided he should visit the place before he did anything else. As he followed the direction of the map, it led him to what looked like a runied town. He left his ship and followed the map through the town, entering a building. It led him to a staircase that led him to an underground labyrinth. The labyrinth had images of different beings and worlds, each drawing told a different story. Victor approached 2 large doors, The doors had carvings of the starry night sky. When he entered the room, he found a floating treasure box, and when he opened a message from the system appeared.

[Congratulations, Victor Von Doom, for finding the secret Item on the floor. 2/4 remain on the second floor.

Item: Key to ??????]

Doom Put away the black and white key and walked over to a broken mural. The image on the mural faded away, and only a single word was legible.

" Oldest." Victor read the word out loud, but he couldn't understand what significance the word had, nor did he understand what this place was. Doom took pictures of this place before he left, repeating the word oldest as he walked away, unbeknownst to Doom as he left a young child with black hair and eyes appeared smiling and in the next minute disappearing. Doom turned around feeling as if he missed something important.
