In a moment of desperation, I grabbed the edge of his suit, tugging gently to halt his retreat. "What happened last time wasn't what I wanted either. I was forced to lie!" I pleaded, searching his face for understanding.
"I don't care," he replied, his voice cold and indifferent, shrugging off my grasp as he continued to walk away. I sighed, realizing the battle ahead would not be easy. Yet, amidst the tension, I held onto a sliver of hope; at least we were finally having this conversation, even if it felt like an uphill climb.
