Bryan stiffened, "What do you mean? Why?"
Before Eric could say anything, an elated Jerry hurriedly stepped towards Jett.
"Mr. Adler, it's really an honor to have you here! So, you're here with my daughter…" He paused and cautiously glanced between the due, slowly wetting his dry lips with his tongue.
"This is a stretch, but I think I heard you say something about dating my daughter?"
Straining the words 'my daughter' on purpose, he flashed Jett a knowing smile.
Jett's impression of him wasn't a good one, but he seeing how fast Jett caught onto what he said earlier, he was about to nod in affirmation when Kelsie cut him off.
"I'm not sure what you heard earlier, but Mr. Adler owns the apartment building I live in, as you know."
Jett quietly sighed in protest, but remained silent.
Jerry's smile cracked, embarrassment washing over him as he apologized to Jett.
