Fury's expression hardened, his single eye locked onto Max with the weight of a man who had seen too much.
"I can't just let you walk away with all of that unchecked."
Max grinned, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Then try and stop me."
For a few moments, silence filled the medical bay.
Before the tension could escalate further, Thor spoke up.
"Rather than fighting among yourselves, you should be preparing for the Dark Elves."**
Fury and Max both turned toward the Thunder God.
Thor's expression was grim. "The Aether was here, which means they must have sensed it. Even though Max turned it back into the Reality Stone, they would have already started moving toward Earth."
Max sighed, rolling his shoulders. "Why do I care about weaklings?"
And with that, he vanished, disappearing from the room in an instant.
Thor watched as Max vanished, shaking his head. "He just left."
He then turned back to Jane, gently placing a hand on her forehead. "She's fine now."
With a deep breath, he turned to Fury. "I will help you fight against the Dark Elves."
Fury sighed, rubbing his temple.
Without wasting time, he dialed Max's number.
"Not available."
Fury gritted his teeth, redialing.
Once again, the response was the same—
"Not available."
Max had completely ignored him.
Fury clenched his fist, gritting his teeth. "Damn it."
Still determined, he tried calling Max one last time.
"Okay, I'm sorry." Fury said through the line.
Max's automated response came back instantly. "Good for you, but still not available."
Click.
Fury stared at his phone, dumbfounded.
Thor let out a deep chuckle. "You should have thought before trying to control him. He's a good man, but most people with that much power would have already obliterated this little ship of yours into molten metal."
Fury sighed, rubbing his temples. "Yeah, yeah. You made your point."
Thor shrugged, glancing at Jane as she rested peacefully.
"Just call the Avengers anyway," he said, taking a seat beside her.
Fury exhaled sharply before finally nodding.
"Yeah… I don't have much of a choice, do I?"
Fury rubbed his temple, letting out a long sigh before finally making the call.
"Hill, get me the Avengers. All of them."
On the other end, Maria Hill responded almost immediately. "Understood. I'll bring them in."
Fury hung up and turned back to Thor, who was still watching over Jane.
"You're sure they're coming?" Fury asked.
Thor nodded, his grip tightening on Mjolnir. "They will. The Dark Elves will not stop until they reclaim the Aether. They have likely already set their sights on Earth."
Fury exhaled sharply. "Fantastic. Another damn alien invasion."
Thor looked at him. "Its your fault you tried to control someone you couldn't"
Fury shook his head. "Yeah, well, last time we had Hulk and Stark too. Let's hope this goes better than New York."
As if on cue, alarms started blaring across the Helicarrier.
"Director Fury!" Hill's voice came through the comms. "We have an unidentified ship entering Earth's atmosphere!"
Thor immediately stood up, his expression turning serious. "They're here."
Fury clenched his fists. "Damn it, Max… you picked a hell of a time to ignore my calls."
But Max was already gone.
And now, the war for Earth had begun.
The Helicarrier trembled as red warning lights flashed across the bridge.
Fury grabbed the nearest comm and barked, "Hill, what are we looking at?"
Hill's voice came through sharp and tense. "An unidentified ship—no, multiple ships—just breached Earth's atmosphere. They're cloaked, but we're detecting movement over London!"
Thor's eyes darkened as he gripped Mjolnir. "Malekith…"
Fury turned to him. "You sure it's them?"
Thor nodded. "There is no doubt. The Dark Elves have come for the Aether. Even though it has been returned to its true form as the Reality Stone, they will still seek its power."
Fury cursed under his breath. "And the one guy who could've handled this in seconds just ghosted me."
He switched channels. "Hill, where are the Avengers?"
"Still en route. Stark's suiting up, Cap's on the Quinjet, and Banner is—"
BOOOOOM!
The entire Helicarrier lurched as an explosion rocked the side of the ship.
A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent shouted, "We've been hit! Enemy forces just landed on the deck!"
Fury and Thor exchanged glances.
Thor spun Mjolnir, lightning crackling around him. "Then let us greet them properly."
Fury loaded his pistol, though he knew it wouldn't do much against these things. "Yeah, let's roll out the welcome mat."
The doors burst open, and standing in the hallway were Dark Elf soldiers, their black armor reflecting the emergency lights.
Their energy weapons hummed, aimed directly at Fury and Thor.
Thor stepped forward, eyes glowing with lightning. "You shall find no victory here, Malekith's minions!"
The first Dark Elf soldier fired.
Thor lunged forward—
The first plasma bolt from the Dark Elf soldier shot through the air—
BOOM!
Thor twirled Mjolnir, the hammer crackling with lightning, and deflected the shot effortlessly. The energy blast ricocheted into the wall, exploding on impact.
Without hesitation, Thor lunged forward, lightning exploding from his body, blasting through the corridor.
CRACK-BOOM!
The first wave of Dark Elf soldiers was instantly incinerated, their armor useless against the full power of Asgard's prince.
Fury took a step back, watching the destruction unfold. "Yeah… I'll just let you handle this part."
More Dark Elves rushed in, their black armor shimmering, weapons charging for another attack.
Thor grinned fiercely. "Is that all?"
Mjolnir spun faster, summoning a storm inside the Helicarrier itself.
The Dark Elves hesitated.
But before they could react—
Thor slammed Mjolnir into the ground.
"FOR ASGARD!"
A shockwave of divine lightning erupted outward, vaporizing the next wave of Dark Elves instantly.
Fury shielded his eyes, feeling the raw energy coursing through the air. "Damn."
Hill's voice came frantically through the comms.
"Director Fury! We have reports—Dark Elf ships are appearing over London, New York, and more parts of the world!"
" the fuck is this" Fury said to Thor as he added " you brought this Aether whatever here on Earth at least ask help from Asgard" He added as Thor nodded.
