At the Mouri Detective Agency, Ran was washing the dishes when her phone buzzed. Drying her hands with a towel, she picked it up to check the message.
[Ran, I have too much homework and can't help you with yours. I left your backpack in Room 304 on the 12th floor of the Sakura Hotel in Mouri. If you want it, you'll have to get it yourself.]
Although Ran was innocent, she wasn't foolish. After being tricked by Lin Yi several times before, she immediately realized this was yet another one of his mischievous messages.
Her heart started to race. She hadn't eaten meat in five days, and though she was in that phase of self-discovery at sixteen, she also had her curiosities.
However, growing up in a family of detectives, she had developed a certain level of caution.
Not trusting Lin Yi to tell her the truth, she decided to call Sonoko for confirmation.
Soon, Sonoko answered.
"Sonoko?"
"Ran? What's up?"
"Oh… I just wanted to talk to you about something."
"What is it? Can't we talk over the phone?"
"It's just that… it might be a bit awkward to discuss over the phone."
"Well, tell me where then."
"It's fine. Let's talk about it tomorrow…"

Ran hung up and sighed in relief.

Sonoko smiled, happy even if it was a lie she wanted to hear.
Her emotional side fully activated, she began asking more questions Lin Yi preferred not to answer. To silence her, he redirected their focus, expending the energy he had only just recovered.

Feeling a mix of anticipation and anxiety, Ran arrived at Room 304 on the 12th floor of the hotel.
Taking a deep breath, she rang the doorbell.
The door creaked open, and when she saw Lin Yi standing there wrapped only in a towel, her nerves spiked even more.
Before she could speak, Lin Yi quickly pulled her inside.
The door slammed shut behind them as Lin Yi pressed her against the wall. Without saying a word, he kissed her, igniting emotions she hadn't anticipated.
As passion overtook her, Lin Yi swiftly undressed her, lifting her and carrying her to the living room.
After some time there, they moved to the bedroom.
When Ran entered the bedroom, she saw Sonoko. She froze, realizing too late that she had fallen into another one of Lin Yi's traps.
When Lin Yi awoke, he looked to his left, where Suzuki Sonoko lay in his arms, and to his right, where Ran Mouri rested similarly.
It was just like that other time he'd woken up.
"Finally… I did it."
Lin Yi smiled in satisfaction, as if he had conquered a difficult level in a game, filled with a sense of accomplishment.
With this first success, there was no need to elaborate further. Surely, there would be more opportunities in the future.
In time, he would unlock more scenarios involving two or even three people.
For now, Lin Yi reflected on how all his previous efforts had been worthwhile. And, as if it couldn't get better, an even greater surprise awaited him.

The silver box yielded a Favorability Event Card, a tool to increase rapport, though it required specific circumstances to use effectively.
Finally, the special bulletproof vest: as long as no one aimed at his head, it greatly increased his survival chances in a firefight.
In summary, it was a good haul.
