Alex slowly got up, his body reforming as he revived himself from the [Hatred Demon]'s previous attack.
He wiped the blood trickling from his nose, his breathing heavy.
Even though he had the powers of a god and attributes to match, he still felt a growing fatigue.
It wasn't enough to slow him down in battle, but there was a strange, gnawing pain in his chest, as if something was trying to take over his heart.

"No shit," Alex groaned, his voice strained as he steadied himself and prepared to fight again.
The longer this battle dragged on, the stronger that unsettling feeling in his heart grew.
But it didn't matter.
He could feel that the end was near, and he wasn't about to back down now.
