Takumi shook his head, his brow furrowed. "Wait, you have?"
Astrid sighed, her shoulders rising and falling with the motion. "I'm Japanese, but my parents lived in London. That's where I was born. I moved here about six years ago. I lived in Tokyo with my aunt for about a month. I came to visit her last summer too, so I have a little idea of where we are."
"Wow, Isamu never mentioned that," Takumi said, tilting his head in surprise.
Astrid chuckled, her lips curling into a small smirk. "Yeah, well, Isamu doesn't really chat much, does he?"
Takumi rubbed the back of his neck, a wry smile forming. "That's Isamu for you. Minimum communication, minimum effort, and maximum laziness."
They both laughed, the rare moment of levity breaking the otherwise heavy atmosphere. Then, Takumi straightened up, his expression shifting back to seriousness. "I should go look for them. You don't have to come with me. Someone needs to stick with Mrs. Hana anyway."
