Ethan parked his car outside Cole's apartment, stepping out into the cool night air as he adjusted his jacket.
Cole rarely called him over unless it was something serious, and earlier, the urgency in his friend's voice had been serious.
The moment Ethan knocked, the door swung open, revealing Cole with a grim expression.
"You took your time," Cole muttered, stepping aside to let him in.
"Traffic." Ethan sighed, walking inside. "What's going on? You sounded tense."
Cole locked the door behind him and motioned toward the couch. Ethan sat, watching as his friend pulled out a tablet from the coffee table drawer.
Cole didn't sit; instead, he paced for a moment before finally handing the device to Ethan.
"One of my guys saw him."
"Saw who?" Ethan frowned.
"Alexander."
The name sent a jolt through Ethan's system. He quickly grabbed the tablet, his eyes scanning the images displayed on the screen.
