Emma walked into the hospital elevator, holding two big white nylon bags that swayed a little as she moved. Both bags were packed full of food, and the warm, sweet smell of freshly baked goods filled the air around her.
As the elevator doors slid shut, Emma giggled softly to herself as her lips curled into a soft, genuine smile.
"I bet he'll light up like a kid on Christmas when he sees this. He's been stuck in here long enough. A feast like this will definitely cheer him up."
Her thoughts lingered on Nightwatch, imagining his reaction when she handed him the bags. The mere idea brought another giggle to her lips.

But just as the elevator began its slow ascent, her phone buzzed in her jacket pocket.
Frowning slightly, she shifted the bags to one hand and pulled out her phone. The screen lit up with a name that immediately made her heart skip a beat.
