Late Night in Emma's Mansion
The TV in the massive living room was on.
There were two figures curled up on the couch.
Scott sat there, eyes half-lidded, barely registering whatever was on the screen.
On the other hand, Emma wasn't watching the TV at all.
Her affectionate amber eyes were locked onto Scott as she studied his every little movement—the slow blink of his tired eyes, the subtle twitch of his lips as he chewed on a piece of popcorn she had just fed him.
Scott exhaled softly before turning his gaze to her.
"Uh… you've been staring at me for quite some time…"
He said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Kinda… uncomfortable."
Emma's lips formed a small pout.
"Hrmph…"
She leaned back, crossing her arms as her brows sank.
Scott blinked. "What'd I say?"
Emma scoffed and turned fully toward him.
