The sun had barely risen over Metro City, yet the streets were already alive.
Students in crisp uniforms rushed to school, workers hurried to their jobs, and for the first time in weeks, the air felt… very peaceful.
No fear of sudden ambushes.
No paranoia about some lunatic woman waiting to turn a man's crotch into fireworks.
Just normal city life.
Up on a rooftop, high above the bustling streets, two figures sat side by side.
Presently in his Shadow Factor Suit, Scott was munching down on an absurdly thick, greasy burger like he hadn't seen food in days. He didn't care about manners right now—each bite was an explosion of flavor, and he ate like a man starved.
His chewing was loud, unfiltered, almost animalistic.
"Phew…"
Scott exhaled, then licked the extra grease from his lips with satisfaction.
"I swear, I've barely eaten anything these past few days. Barely drank, either."
He took another massive bite.
