"What exactly are you trying to do?" Finn asked nervously. He didn't want to go anywhere near the church, but Medeia was holding his hand so tightly, he knew there was no chance of running away.
Medeia didn't even look back. "Just stay quiet and follow me."
The city was silent. Too silent. Every step they took echoed loudly through the empty streets, making the whole place feel even more eerie.
The unsettling silence made Finn glance nervously around, constantly checking if someone or something was watching them.
Every little noise—a loose window creaking, or water dripping onto rusted metal—made Finn jump and quickly move closer to Medeia.
"D-Do you think ... maybe there are ghosts here?" Finn whispered.
Medeia laughed softly, clearly enjoying his panic. "So tell me, who do you think would win? A demon or a bunch of ghosts?"
Finn slowly moved away from her, realizing Medeia might be even scarier than a ghost.
