Slash!
With a single sword thrust, Kakashi pierced through the enemy's heart.
His body instinctively dodged, then leaped, twisting midair as he swung his arm. The broken blade in his hand sliced through another enemy's throat.
He kicked outward, sending an opponent flying into another pirate who was preparing to attack him.
Using the momentum, he repositioned himself, lightning flaring across his body. In an instant, another enemy was struck down.
Kakashi was also participating in this war.
In truth, Konan and the others hadn't wanted him to join. Though Kakashi wasn't weak, he was still too young.
But in the end, they couldn't dissuade him. Kakashi insisted on fighting in this battle.
Of course, there was another crucial reason as to why Konan allowed Kakashi to participate.
She knew that someone powerful was secretly watching over everything.
There was no way the number one prodigy among the young shinobi would be allowed to die so easily.
If Kakashi were to find himself in a fatal situation, Konan was certain that the hidden figure would reveal themselves.
And she had a good idea who that person was.
From the chilling aura she sensed, it was highly likely to be that Uchiha.
She also had a rough estimate of his strength. It far superior to Nawaki, and by an overwhelming margin.
That was why she felt so confident about this battle.
Even if they couldn't win, they would definitely survive.
However, what Konan didn't realize was that it wasn't just Madara watching this war.
Hui was spectating from a distance as well.
At this moment, he observed the battlefield with great interest, a hint of nostalgia flashing in his eyes.
It had been a long time since he had experienced a war like this.
For Hui, the next battle he would experience would likely be an interstellar war.
By then, it wouldn't just be a war involving 300,000 people.
"That kid really takes after his father."
Watching Kakashi immerse himself in a rhythm, Hui couldn't help but sigh in admiration.
This was just an eleven or twelve-year-old child, yet he already possessed the strength of a Kage, and he was exceptionally skilled in the art of killing.
After all, what he had mastered was the White Fang Swordsmanship, a technique created by Sakumo Hatake through relentless battles and bloodshed.
"He's still a little immature… but that's fine. Experience will polish him soon enough."
Hui smirked slightly.
Kakashi was a junior he valued highly.
His talent destined him to become a key member of Hui's Fourth Calamity!
Yes, you read that right, the Fourth Calamity!
Hui dared to send so many outstanding young shinobi into this world to train because he had made thorough preparations.
Not only had he arranged for Madara to secretly watch over them, but he also had another crucial measure in place.
The blood and genetic material of every shinobi from the Sage Shinobi Nation who had entered this pirate world had been stored in Hidden Sage Village.
In fact, the entire Sage Shinobi Nation's population had their blood samples in storage.
And not just blood, other biological materials containing their genetic information as well.
Why?
The answer was simple.
Never forget that Naruto was a world where you could exploit loopholes.
Like, Edo Tensei + Rinne Rebirth.
That was the ultimate cheat code.
If a Sage Shinobi died in this world, Hui could simply resurrect them at the right time using Edo Tensei and Rinne Rebirth.
This kind of maneuver had already been used in the original work.
During the Fourth Shinobi World War, wasn't Uchiha Madara revived in the same way?
So the conditions were completely feasible, and the operation was entirely possible.
First was Edo Tensei.
Hui had already perfected it to a level comparable to the original, perhaps even surpassing it.
Then there was Rinne Rebirth. At this stage, it was still an ability of Madara's Rinnegan, and using it required both ocular power and life force.
But Hui had no issue solving the life force problem.
As for ocular power? That could be restored.
And if necessary, he could choose to assimilate Rinnegan's power after assimilating with spiritual energy.
[tl/n: I'm changing the energy Hui's assimilating at the moment from mental energy to spiritual ebergy. I don't know what the hell I was doing pickling mental energy instead or spiritual energy when it was an overwhelmigly superior option, but I've messed up regardless. I apologize for the inconvenience]
However, that was too much trouble. So, Hui had started another research project, to completely master Rinne Rebirth.
His research had already made progress.
In just a few more years, he would fully grasp the technique.
By then, he could freely use Rinne Rebirth.
But beyond these two techniques, there was another requirement to exploit this loophole indefinitely. Sacrificial offerings.
That, however, was an easy problem to solve.
With genetic cloning technology, sacrifices were no longer an issue.
So, Hui was never afraid of anyone dying.
After all, even if they died, he could bring them back to life at any time.
Of course, resurrection had some drawbacks. Due to the nature of the sacrifices, their strength would decline upon revival, just like in a game where dying results in losing levels and needing to grind experience again.
Additionally, they would also lose their equipment.
But as long as they could come back to life, losing gear wasn't a big deal.
Naturally, only Hui and Uchiha Madara knew about this.
No one else was aware.
After all, if people knew they could be resurrected without consequence, they would lose their reverence for life.
And once that reverence was gone, the effectiveness of their training would be greatly diminished.
If death had no real consequences, wouldn't the so-called trials just feel like a game? Who would bother pt fear death?
Thus, for now, they couldn't learn the truth.
Even if someone died in this world, Hui wouldn't resurrect them immediately.
Only when he fully mastered Rinne Rebirth and could use it without restrictions would he change their training methods.
But how exactly he would adjust things... that was a matter for the future.
In short, this was Hui's plan:
In his era, the shinobi of the Sage Shinobi Nation would become an immortal army.
And he had already decided on their name.
The Fourth Calamity.
An army who could resurrect indefinately, impossible to kill, the Fourth Calamity!
"When this war ends, the Sage Shinobi Nation will officially become another dominant force in this world. With Minato and the others, it won't take long before this world is completely conquered."
Hui mused to himself, considering his next move.
"Perhaps... it's time to seek out the Ōtsutsuki Clan?"
He pondered briefly, then dismissed the thought.
Because below, the battle was reaching a new level of intensity.
"Tsk, tsk... so Kaido finally lost patience and transformed?"
His gaze shifted downward.
Kaido had taken the form of a massive azure dragon, his immense body dominating the battlefield. Ranzuki could no longer hold him back.
And,
Hui looked toward the distant sea.
Someone was approaching.
"At this rate, Konan and the others will be in real danger. Looks like Madara will have to step in."
Watching the approaching figures, he muttered to himself, a smile forming on his lips.
"Now this... this is getting interesting."
[tl/n: The Fourth Calamity mentioned here is a reference to players themselves in an online game, who are an unstoppable force that disrupts the world inside a game.
It comes from MMORPGs and strategy games where players, due to their ability to respawn endlessly and exploit game mechanics, become a greater force of destruction than any in-game event.
The first three calamities in an MMORPG is evidently, natural disasters, wars and moster calamity, ingame events along the lines.
This was an interesting peace of cultre for me to dig up
Have a great day/night!]
