Thankfully, Hua Zi was there; she often brought back tonics and items needed for mystical techniques for Lai Bao and Ruan Mei.
But even so, Lai Bao's weight kept plummeting; at one point, it dropped below 90 pounds.
In the initial period after she was imprisoned, her weight had already fallen once, dropping from 160 to below 130 in three months, and now it was dropping again, falling from 130 to 110 within a month, and then from 110 to 90 in the next.
For someone who was 170 tall, 90 pounds was really thin.
Three months later, her weight stabilized around 100, rarely fluctuating.
As for Hua Zi, Ruan Mei had already known of her existence the first time she appeared, but did not ask too much about it.
And outside the prison, the world was still vivid and exciting, filled with sweetness, bitterness, sourness, and spice, joy and sorrow coexisting.
