"I'll go take a look."
Qin Zhao pushed Chu Yan aside and walked toward the window.
The curtains of the room she was in were drawn back, giving a clear view of the courtyard of the guesthouse.
Inside the courtyard stood a large camphor tree, lush with leaves and branches. Moonlight poured down, casting mottled shadows on the ground.
Within the intricate shadow play, Qin Zhao looked closely for a while before spotting an unusual silhouette mixed in—a sharp goat horn and ears, but only half were visible.
"Wuuuu, mē wuuuu."
That same crying sound emerged as the shadow on the ground gradually revealed itself fully.
It had a massive goat's head but stood on two legs, just like a human, with arms hanging by its sides—clearly a human body, the monster with a goat's head!
The monster's shadow on the ground was at least two meters tall.
Yet Qin Zhao still couldn't see the monster's body, unable to determine if it was actually that large.
