Kieran wanted to drive me to the office. He insisted, in fact, but I managed to convince him not to.
Noah and I hadn't gone home since we went to see him few days ago, and it was good.
Comfortable.
I liked it so much.
My hands drummed the steering wheel gently as I drove, feeling light-hearted and happy. Noah was happy when I asked Kie to drive him to school instead, and while my man was being whiny at not being able to drive me too, I knew he was secretly pleased to spend some time with his son.
Traffic was light, so I got to office slightly earlier than usual. I waved at my employees and returned their greetings with a smile.
On a normal day, I was a cheerful person. But from the surprised look my workers exchanged as I walked past offices and cubicles, I must have come off as extra cheery today.
Not that it mattered though. Today was a good day.
The sky was bright and blue, breathtakingly beautiful. My heart was at peace, and a wide smile was on my face.
