"How. Dare. You. Spring. That. Up. On. Her. In. The. Middle. Of. The. Night?"
Charlotte punctuated each of her words with a jab to my chest, and I winced silently as she went on.
I was at their house, hers and Archie's, and without thinking, told them the good news about my proposal and Edwina's acceptance.
My sister had been thrilled, and she immediately wanted to know how it all went. How I did it. But the moment I told her about the midnight talk and all of that, my sister flared up.
"What the fuck Kie? No seriously, I find your actions very offensive," she snapped. I sighed and rubbed a hand on my face.
"I'm beginning to realise that now. And if it's any consolation, she was pretty dramatically mad about it too. Said I should not have asked her when she was in her pyjamas and stuff like that," I said.
"Of course she is. No woman would have liked that," Charlotte quipped.
"Well, I think it's kind of romantic, if you ask me," Archie interjected.
