There was a small smile on my face as I prepared for bed. The date — meeting? — with Marcus had gone well.
All inhibitions or doubt that I had about him were gone by the time we had to leave, and revenge plan on Noah or not, I had a feeling that Marcus and I were going to be exceptional friends.
Noah seemed to have thought about what he said to me that day at the office, seeing how he apologised and offered me food as a peace offering.
But as things were bound to turn out between us, I knew we were only going to end up in a huge fight again. And he would say some hurtful and totally uncalled for words to me, and I would do the same.
Then we would ignore each other for days until one of us — mostly him — apologised and we would start all over again.
It was a vicious circle, and after the fabulous day I just had, I was not particularly interested in starting a new round of circle today.
